The plot is one of the most important components of each add-on for FF XIV and the content that the vast majority of users go through. The expansion made combat more fun, and dungeons and raids more dynamic, but the disgusting pace of the narrative and the way it spends a lot of time on unnecessary things greatly blur the impression. Especially considering the fact that this is the start of a new storyline.

Kunitsu-Gami is another unique game in Capcom's collection. It is very similar to the PS2-era project, which the company forgot to release for some reason. One of the most unusual projects of this year, successfully combining several genres, a mysterious mystical atmosphere and entertaining gameplay.

Night Springs is an attempt to fit several characters into a criminally short period of time, which is why the add-on simply did not have time to tell full-fledged stories. Combined with the seriously simplified gameplay, the DLC looks more like a draft than a finished work.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth tried to take over the baton from the chic Remake, but instead of a concentrated story adventure, it offered all the worst trends of open-world games, did not really deepen the events familiar from FF VII, and at the same time broke one of the most important plot points of the original "finale".

Islands of the Insight really wanted to be The Witness, but on a much larger scale, but it played a cruel joke on them. The puzzles are for the most part easy and don't even try to surprise with anything, which, given the immense number of them, looks more like a mockery.

Tekken 8 has made as many changes as the series has not seen, perhaps, from the fifth part. Many aspects have been redesigned, and new mechanics allow you to act as aggressively as possible. Add a considerable number of modes, chic training tools and stable online - and get the perfect fighting game.

Dune: Spice Wars tries to be both 4X and RTS at the same time, but it failed to competently combine the advantages of the two genres. The games stretch at a snail's pace and do not develop in any way, do not change during the match. The game quickly shows everything that it is capable of, after which there is simply no need to return to it.

Aliens: Dark Descent has shown that good Alien games are not tied to any genres, and you can scare and create a viscous atmosphere even in tactical projects. And while not everything went smoothly, the Dark Descent campaign definitely deserves attention.

Darkest Dungeon 2 wanted to move away from the formula of the first part as much as possible and send us on a new adventure, but something went wrong. The project simply lost the gloomy atmosphere of its predecessor and never figured out how to replace its mechanics.

Resident Evil 4 2023 resembles the American remake of the Asian film, where the authors seem to have taken the same components, but did not understand why and how they work. Even without a comparison with RE4, the project has enough problems, and if you push it head-on with the original, it becomes even sadder.

A pretty but uninspired platformer. Even though one of its developers made Limbo and Inside, don't expect the same level of quality here.

Sparks of Hope lost the effect of surprise and could not reach the first part both in terms of the level of humor and the quality of the battles. It's still a good and enjoyable tactic, but it flies out of your head immediately after passing.

The grandiose world of Elden Ring looks great, but is filled with monotonous content. FromSoftware does not even try to offer something new and just tramples on a familiar glade, where the Souls series has long settled.

First two No More Heroes games weren't perfect, however, they were at least fun to play. No More Heroes 3 is just a boring game with sponge enemies and dead open world. And, to be honest, repeating the same joke for the third time doesn't work at all.

NEO: TWEWY is not a bad game at all. However, with its slow-paced story and uninteresting new characters (Shoka is exclusion here) the sequel could not reach the heights of the original TWEWY, which was a masterpiece.

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD is a great remaster of the weak game - HD-version fixed the most annoying things of the original. However, pacing issues as well as many strange decisions to block the progress are still here, and still prevent player to love this game.

Shin Megami Tensei III is still one of the best games from Atlus, and one of the greatest jRPGs. Dark, unforgiving, but unbelievably hard to turn off. And this great journey now available on new platforms thanks to the remastered version.

Nightdive has released a good remaster far from being a perfect game. However, despite some shortcomings, it is still worth trying both those who missed projects like Soul Reaver, and those who have not even heard of them. If it catches on, it won't fall behind.

Bravely Default II is unnecessary sequel to the generic Bravely series. It has nothing similar with the classic jRPGs - one thing it can offer is mindless grind over mindless grind mixed with boring story. If you have time for games, better spent it playing something else.

If you crave an old school action platformer, you definitely should try Cyber Shadow. This game is a nostalgic trip with great boss fights and amazing music.
