9 / 10.0 - DiRT 4
Jun 19, 2017

DiRT 4 developed by Codemasters is the sequel to DiRT Rally, although it feels more like a lovechild between DiRT Showdown and Colin McRae Rally (2013). The game brings a lot of what fans enjoyed in DiRT Rally and builds on that with brilliant additions.

8 / 10.0 - Dead by Daylight
Jun 25, 2017

Dead By Daylight is the latest asymmetric horror survival game out on the market. This one having been developed by Behaviour Interactive and published by Starbreeze Studios. With such a simplistic four versus one method the game takes on the hunter versus hunted gameplay head on.

6 / 10.0 - Ancient Amuletor
Jul 19, 2017

Ancient Amuletor brings classic tower defense gameplay to the PSVR, with clear and colourful graphics, lively audio and lady bits. While you wont be spending hours playing this game, it is a great example of what is possible with the PSVR and as such should be considered on everyone’s “to buy” list.

6 / 10.0 - Tiny Trax
Jul 24, 2017

Tiny Trax by FuturLab can only be described as a Scalextric virtual reality game. When I first laid eyes on this game, I was flooded with nostalgic feels. However, when I got into the game those feels dissipated and left me with a small sense of disappointment. Only a small sense though.

7 / 10.0 - Dino Frontier

Ever wondered what it would be like to train dinosaurs just like Chris Pratt in Jurassic World? Well wonder no more with Dino Frontier by Uber Entertainment on the PSVR.

7 / 10.0 - LawBreakers
Aug 14, 2017

his game took me back in time to great games of the past, like Unreal Tournament and Quake Arena. This has a very old-school feel to it when you play and I loved this side of the game. Just like in days of old, I’m getting fragged left right and centre, but the strange thing with this game is…….. it doesn’t make me feel like raging.

8 / 10.0 - The Lost Bear
Sep 7, 2017

The Lost Bear is co-developed by Fabrik games and OddBug Studio and published by Fabrik Games and is available for PSVR. When you first sit down and put on the PSVR headset and dive into The Lost Bear you know you are in for a treat. Sitting down on the comfy chair in front of a large stage area is mesmerising.

8 / 10.0 - NBA Live 18
Oct 3, 2017

With so many modes, any fan of the NBA Live franchise will have a great time. Putting hours into the career mode you can get lost while building your team up to be the next Chicago Bulls (Pippen and Jordan era) and along with the amount of time you can spend playing Ultimate Team. NBA Live 18 has something for everyone. So in conclusion a great comeback for the flailing NBA Live series actually brings this game back into the upper echelons of basketball games. Yes the company is still few and far between, but as with FIFA and PES, each game seems to be pushing each other ever closer to perfection. Are we there yet? Not quite, but its certainly getting close.

7 / 10.0 - WWE 2K18
Oct 17, 2017

For all die hard WWE fans I can imagine that WWE 2K18 is brilliant, with all your favourite superstars on the roster you could spend a whole year playing as each character, which I'm guessing is 2K Sports idea. With all the game modes available you can find anything for any situation. Got some friends around, then take on a Royal Rumble and see who can last the longest. Alternatively have a Fatal 4-Way Hardcore match and see who can cause the most bodily harm. If you are on your own, then spend some time creating your wrestler and taking them through a career and see how high you can move up the ladder. All in all, WWE 2K18 is a fun game to play, if you aren't aware of the WWE universe then you probably won't enjoy this. However, being a fan of the sport since childhood it was refreshing to play a new iteration of the 2K Sports series.

Unscored - Deceit
Oct 18, 2017

If you love Trouble in Terrorist Town, you’ll enjoy yourself playing Deceit, but, it has a low population, and you miss out on all of the other activities you can get into with something like Gary’s Mod. Gary’s Mod has nearly 52,000 players in the last 30 days, against only 107 on Deceit. But, like I said, there’s tons more to do in Gary’s Mod. If you’re looking for exclusively Trouble in Terrorist Town, those numbers drop significantly for Gary’s Mod, but I’d suspect nowhere near as low as Deceit.

I can only go off what I have played so far, and that has been glorious, yes there are a few controversies surrounding Wolfenstein II, but what game doesn’t seem to have controversy following it. The story line is fun and engaging, especially with the often mutterings of BJ to a dead friend. The audio and graphics all both give great compliment to the game and shooting heads off has never been so much fun! This game is a great addition to the Wolfenstein name and I am sure that the coming DLC will only expand on what is already a great game to play through.

10 / 10.0 - Worbital
Feb 8, 2019

How long will Worbital last? Well, how long is a piece of string? It is most certainly a game where you can lose hours and hours taking on friends and foe. It’s chaotic and you definitely will enjoy every moment you spend playing the game. I keep diving back into Worbital just to get a taste of planetary carnage. Overall Team Jolly Roger have created what i consider to be an instant classic. So much so that we recently started a new series over on the youtube channel and this was the game we played first. Worbital brings space battles to the smaller screen and definitely lives up to its galactic aims.

8 / 10.0 - Dirt Rally 2.0
Mar 1, 2019

So Dirt Rally 2.0 is tipped as the most authentic off-road experience out there, and that claim definitely has some truth, with the new aspects of the game building on the previous games brilliant racing experience we might just have the best rally game since Colin McRae Rally

This really all depends on whether you enjoy doing the same thing over and over again. Personally, after writing this review, I honestly can’t see me going back to the Switch version when I can power up my PC and play a deeper version of the same game, albeit made by different developers. This “lite” version of the game, however, will be fine for newcomers to the series to get a taste of repairing cars and earning some steady cash.

8 / 10.0 - Close to the Sun
May 1, 2019

So all in all Storm In A Teacup have done a great job with Close To The Sun. Its story driven action, combined with puzzle solving and the unnerving fact that you can’t defend yourself, all gets packaged up into a nice neat bundle of joy to play through. Close To The Sun thoroughly deserves its Thumb Culture Gold Award
