Now we come to what Call of Duty is known for and this is where both Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 and Infinity Ward themselves excel and after spending 20 years improving and perfecting their craft it shows. The multiplayer is a finely tuned masterpiece which improves on all of the previous iterations, yes there were a few teething issues with matchmaking but nothing that really spoilt my experience.

Whilst I did have immense fun with Destroy all Humans the game feels dated in its controls and content and I feel that the asking price is on the high side due to a variety of factors of which the main one is that Microsoft themselves gave the original game away for Free as part of the Games for Gold program a month or so before the release. I believe this was done to drum up anticipation for the game but I cant help feel that it backfired as there isn't enough additional content or changes to warrant the price.

Maneater doesn't take itself too seriously which is what a game like this requires as it adds to the fun and whilst not a massive game, it can be completed in under 30 hours without rushing through. I feel that it would have been repetitive too if it was a longer game and as such, I think its worth getting especially with the lack of new AAA titles that have been released so far this year as these would have caused many people to overlook this title.

The Level design of the actual worlds is great with both the large levels and the interesting ability to morph the levels. Each world is inhabited by an eclectic cast of humorous supporting character and gives the worlds a distinctive feel with a fantastic soundtrack that is just the icing on the cake of nostalgia.

Unlike the original game, this version now has a quick save function by pressing right on the d-pad. This makes the game a lot more forgiving than the original and the level design has been improved with multiple routes though the levels giving the player choice how to approach each situation. The A.I. is hit and miss, when it's good it's fantastic, but this is spoilt when you see the guards glitching out.

A recommended take on the RTS genre, especially for console and a big must for Halo and Halo Wars fans especially.

It's still a fantastic game, even though it is showing signs of ageing, it is a classic and people will probably still be talking about it years later.

Battlefield One is a worthy addition to the Battlefield franchise, harkens back to the days of Codename Eagle and is a great game with an interesting single player.
