Even though in terms of story and gameplay My Friend Pedro delivers very little new, it makes a lot fun thanks to his excellent execution and the interesting leveldesign and invites you to runs for new highscores. Fans of titles like Hotline Miami, The Hong Kong Massacre and Katana Zero are served best.

With the Contra Anniversary Collection, M2 and Konami deliver a very well playable and technical-wise impressive finale to their 50th birthday. which unfortunately contains too much different versions of the same games and lacks some highlights of the series. Nevertheless, fans of classic and challenging Run N`Gun action can`t come around this package.

Nintendo Labo VR is a well done and good processed craft fun, which delivers as a final product a surprisingly fine working Virtual Reality that combines the simplicity and accessibility of classic Nintendo products. The feeling of a real virtual reality is there, the fun is not too short and with Labo Labs there a many possiblities to build your own creations. Starlink is a well-done mixture between an arcadeshooter and an openworld game with focus on exploration, which delivers players a good package combined together with the classic formula of Ubisoft, a good (but expensive) toys-to-life product line and the possibility to complete the game without any additional payments. Daemon X Machina delivers massive mecha-action in the style of Armored Core, that in fact sets no new impulses to the genre, has to fight with an actual interesting, but weak presented story and could scare off some new entrants with the loadout-mechanics, but actually plays very well and delivers enough inducement to play it beyond the story mode. Fans of Armored Core and mecha-action in general eventually find enough reasons for a buy.

In terms of gameplay, WRC 8 goes on par with DiRT Rally 2.0 on the first place, but due to it`s stiff presentation, the partly outdated menu navigation and the high boarding hurdle it still can`t hold on with Codemasters paragon. Fans of rally-sports and detailed driving mechanics should add the title to their collection anyway, due that content and gameplay can convince on the entire line.

Wargroove is a good tactics game, which manages to deliver nearly the same experience as advance wars all bundled with a big content, a massive level editor and diversified missiondesign, but also stays without little exceptions in the comfortzone of his template and struggles with some inconsequences in artwork and sound. Yo-Kai Watch 3 is a very well made RPG and Adventure mixture, that scores with funny characters, lots of content and a good polished Gameplay, but has his little fights with the combat system, which is kind of hectic and sometimes a bit confusing. Except for a little oversensitive controls in the titles for the NES, the Castlevania Anniversary Collection is a perfect example on how to deliver with a collection a perfect profile of a series and its first generation and delivers big time with is selection of games, options and bonuscontent. Fans of videogaming history, timeless plattformers and the Castlevania series won`t get around the Anniversary Collection.

Even that the changes to the original from 2014 are very small and the price is higher than the original release on the WiiU back in 2014, Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze is a gorgeous and awesome playable plattformer and probably the best AAA-Jump N`Run you have faced in years. An absolute no-brainer for fans of the genre.

Blazing Chrome is a suprisingly massive action orgy, that plays like a spiritual successor to the legendary Contra Hard Corps with a theme from Terminator, which doesn`t bring up anything new on the table, but is simply awesome in its whole execution. A must-buy for fans of Contra and friends of bombastic run and gun action with lots of love in detail.
