Persona 3 Reload is a fantastic remake that treats with extreme care a JRPG masterpiece to deliver a modern version that respects its original version. ATLUS understood perfectly what adjustments had to be made for Persona 3 to reach the standards that came to the franchise thanks to Persona 5, but without making the mistake of leaning too much towards what the 2016 game delivered.

Unicorn Overlord is a must-have that fans of strategy games can't pass up. It's a game packed with complex systems that interact to keep you thinking about the best ways to maximize each unit in your squads. Perhaps this makes it a game that may be unsuitable for first time players, but its different difficulty levels do a good job of keeping newcomers from getting overwhelmed by so many systems and allowing veterans to dive right into the strategy.

Four years after its original release, Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker to remind us why it is one of the best puzzle platformers on the market. Remaking games is not easy, but once again, Activision and Vicarious Visions deliver a great experience. Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 and 2 fell as good as its original versions, but at the same time, they adopt some things that the franchise learned along the way. Gran Turismo 7 is a great racing game. It's clear that Polyphony Digital learned from the missteps of Gran Turismo Sport to deliver a game that, in conjunction with being an extremely solid experience, is the return to its roots that fans were hoping for. Luigi’s Mansion 3 is a game that will satisfy those who have enjoyed the past 2 adventures of this coward plumber. Next Level Games took what worked in Dark Moon, combined it with the best of the first installment and let their creativity flow in other branches to deliver what I think is the best Luigi’s Mansion to day.It is a shame that its pacing is not ideal for a game of its kind, but that does not prevent it from being a high quality product.

Tactics Ogre Reborn is not perfect but it is a very wise re-release. It's not uncommon to see re-releases that disappoint by being simplistic or disrespecting the original creative vision by changing too much, but in this case we're talking about a release that avoids falling into either of these holes. Instead we have a title that succeeds by delivering the definitive version of a tactical RPG that deserves to be played by more people.
