Total War: PHARAOH just doesn't impress as much as it should have. The flaw lies only with the magnitude and scope of the game and not with the game's choice of a Bronze Age or ancient Near Eastern setting. The game's atmosphere is what you'll remember most. Still, its mechanics are shallow, the level of replayability is low, the artificial intelligence is useless, and there's no opportunity for strategy in the fights. If a top-notch total war game is what you seek, you've come to the wrong place.

Double Dragon Gaiden: Rise of the Dragons is one of the best games in the series, combining elements of a beat 'em up with those of a roguelike while maintaining the challenge for which Double Dragon is known. The sprite animation is superb. It's a decent buy for the price of $25. You can get a fantastic time on the standard difficulty. This game will put your understanding of beat 'em ups to the test on the more challenging modes.

75 / 100 - Diablo IV
Jun 8, 2023

Diablo IV is a good APRG as a whole, and the late-game material will keep you coming back for more, and unlike previous Diablo games, it will attract players unfamiliar with the series. However, the quality and popularity of that season's content will determine the show's long-term viability. The core content of Diablo IV is good, and while I believe there's space for improvements and I wish Blizzard had taken some bigger strokes and tried some more original ideas, they still could have used some work. The game is a lot of fun if you're an ARPG fan, and its attention to detail will impress you.

OCTOPATH TRAVELER II is one of the best JRPGs I’ve ever played. 2D-HD graphics, in particular, have a striking visual flair. All these path acts contribute greatly to providing the player with an enjoyable experience, as the game features some interesting stories and a highly interactive universe. Those interested in the genre should check it out, and those who enjoy JRPGs with a strong emphasis on exploration and story should consider it a must-play.

4.2 / 5.0 - Wartales
Apr 20, 2023

The more you play Wartales, the more you’ll find that many of the mechanics get deeper and deeper. The game is enjoyable as a whole. RPG-style strategy games are always more fun when played with a large group of people, and Wartales delivers on that front. It’s not a heavy RPG by any means—the story and dialogue are pretty sparse—but the turn-based combat is where it shines.

Knights of Honor II: Sovereign is a precious RTS gem and one of those games that we don't get to play very often. It simply is a gift from Black Sea Games and THQ Nordic to the RTS fans. From town-building to micromanaging diplomacy can't get any deeper than this.

It's incredible to think about how detailed the game must have been back in 1995 when it was initially published. Aside from being a great overhaul, it also preserves the game's highly enjoyable fighting with hard difficulties, as well as an engaging plot that keeps players interested as it develops. Despite its length and difficulty, Tactics Ogre: Reborn is never tiresome, and it's undeniably one of the greatest TRPGs out there.

Lapovich Team came up with a brilliant idea but failed to balance social conflict management and city building with limited resources. If you're seeking a challenging management experience that will keep you engaged for a long time, Kapital: Sparks of Revolution is the game for you. At the same time, fans of city-building simulation can wait until the game is improved.

While the plot and characters are entertaining and engaging, there is nothing else in Chinatown Detective Agency that seems quite as captivating. Amira Darma's exploits and relatability carry the story to its conclusion, but the way is obstructed needlessly by deleted or bugged voiceovers, confusing puzzle solutions, and an unnecessary money system.

WWE 2K22 is jam-packed with content, and it represents a significant step forward in terms of graphics and quality when compared to its predecessors. However, there are also significant flaws in the game especially when it comes to multiplayer matches, but a solid groundwork has surely been laid for the future WWE games of this series.

There are some fun elements, and some merits that need to be recognized; however, whilst fun, Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Extraction is just not enough. The game feels rushed, and not enough fleshed out to become its own thing.

Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun – Aiko’s Choice is an excellent addition to the series, albeit one that comes half a decade too late. Not that it feels dated, but the huge gap between the two makes it feel awkward and out of place at times.
