Mick Fraser's Reviews

I'm currently the Tips & Guides Editor at GodisaGeek.com but I've been at the site for almost four years. I've reviewed around 150 games in that time, and edited many, many others. I love games and gaming, and really dislike negativity. This industry is meant to be about fun, right? Quick facts: I'm married with four children, I don't like sweetcorn, I have no hair but all my own teeth.
8 / 10.0 - The Riftbreaker
Oct 15, 2021

The Riftbreaker is a genuine challenge throughout. The world is beautiful and the campaign is superb.

Oct 14, 2021

If you're a fan of LEGO or Marvel and missed Lego Marvel Super Heroes so far, now is the perfect time to rectify that.

9 / 10.0 - Back 4 Blood
Oct 12, 2021

Thanks to the AI Director, incredible atmosphere and great pacing, Back 4 Blood is a triumphant return for Turtle Rock.

Oct 8, 2021

If you're looking for a very different kind of management sim and a steep challenge, Vagrus: The Riven Realms is the game for you.

8.5 / 10.0 - New World
Oct 7, 2021

New World is a pretty damn good MMORPG. It's fun and accessible, and though it doesn't do anything truly new, it has enough little twists on existing ideas to keep me invested.

8.5 / 10.0 - Aeon Drive
Oct 3, 2021

Aeon Drive is all about running very fast and nailing every jump, slide, and teleport without missing a beat or putting a step wrong.

Oct 3, 2021

What Insurgency: Sandstorm is offering here is a welcome change of pace, and a genuine alternative to the established norm.

9 / 10.0 - The Last Friend
Sep 30, 2021

The Last Friend is a likeable, charming little game with some funny dialogue, and a big pile of lovely fluffy doggoes to fall in love with.

8 / 10.0 - Unsighted
Sep 29, 2021

Unsighted is hard enough to be a challenge, but just fair enough to hook you in for one more go. Well worth checking out.

Sep 23, 2021

If you've never played the original, then this is a great entry point. It's hard to hide its age even under the layer of polish, but Diablo 2: Resurrected is still a damn fine game.

8 / 10.0 - Severed Steel
Sep 19, 2021

With destructible environments (you can blow holes in almost everything), frenetic action, over-the-top physics and a soundtrack that rarely takes a breather, Severed Steel is an enjoyable, cathartic experience.

8 / 10.0 - Eastward
Sep 14, 2021

Eastward is an enjoyable and arresting adventure, with memorable characters, likeable humour and a central mystery that keeps you engaged throughout.

Sep 7, 2021

With some nicely-detailed visuals and decent voice-acting, Sniper Ghost Warrior: Contracts 2 is a polished offering from CI Games.

Sep 6, 2021

F.I.S.T: Forged in Shadow Torch's exciting, brutal combat, and rewarding exploration set it apart from many of its genre-mates, and make it utterly worth your time.

Aug 23, 2021

Aliens: Fireteam Elite is an absolute win if you're a franchise fan and you stick to the multiplayer; if you're a solo player and the universe does nothing for you, there's not much here worth exploring.

8 / 10.0 - Humankind
Aug 16, 2021

There are some cracks in the shiny veneer, for sure, but on the whole Humankind is a great experience with almost endless replayability.

Aug 10, 2021

If you're not a fan of Godfall, there's not much here that will change your mind. If you're a fan, though, Fire & Darkness is a total no-brainer.

9.5 / 10.0 - GRIME
Aug 9, 2021

Grime is simply a phenomenal game, and is one of the best hardcore Metroidvanias I've played in a while. I'd advise any fan of the genre to seek it out and give it a try, and I promise it won't disappoint.

7.5 / 10.0 - Tribes of Midgard
Aug 2, 2021

Tribes of Midgard has some great ideas, but the cosmetic rewards, short skill trees and difficulty in unlocking new classes makes it feel a little "early access".

7 / 10.0 - The Ascent
Jul 29, 2021

Despite difficulty spikes and a few odd design choices, The Ascent is an enjoyable, and gorgeous, sci-fi blaster.
