EXCELLENT - The original Katamari Damacy is a timeless game, and this updated version is a great improvement with its new HD graphics. Some might have issues with the motion controls, but luckily the traditional stick controls are here as an option as well. It doesn’t get much zanier than this!

Save me Mr. Tako! is recommend for classic gamers and fans of independent games alike. It’s easy to play, but the story keeps pulling you along and the gameplay evolves with the story through both the hats that you discover, and the surprising things that you’ll find in the environments.

Hyper Light Drifter – Special Edition is one of the best independent games on the Nintendo eShop and a shining example of 2D gaming in general. It’s a retro-style game and then some, with great atmosphere and challenging combat. If you missed it on other platforms, now’s your chance!

SNK Heroines: Tag Team Frenzy is a great fighting game for long-time SNK fans. The all-female SNK roster, customize feature, and Dream Finishes make this a fun and memorable fighting game.

6.5 / 10.0 - Blade Strangers
Sep 5, 2018

Blade Strangers is a less-than-unique fighting game with excellent graphics. Unfortunately great visuals alone don’t make a fun game. If you have an affinity toward the characters and don’t mind a paint-by-the-numbers fighting game, then definitely pick this one up.

6.5 / 10.0 - SpiritSphere DX
Jul 2, 2018

SpiritSphere DX is worth considering for players who would enjoy tennis, air hockey, or pinball-like gameplay. Its greatest feature is it’s unique Hand2Hand mode, which is the first of its kind. If you enjoyed The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, however, you may not necessarily enjoy this game based on that alone.

Happy Birthdays is a relaxing game with charming graphics and sound. Players should expect some difficulty understanding how to play the game. Dedicated players will find satisfaction in bringing new plants and animals to life.

Curse of the Moon is the spiritual successor to Dracula’s Curse that no one saw coming. It’s a special game for early fans of the Nintendo Entertainment System and Castlevania series. I think this game will exceed players’ expectations, especially fans of Castlevania and Ninja Gaiden. At only $10, it’s a steal!

10 / 10.0 - Ikaruga
May 25, 2018

Ikaruga is an outstanding classic, which I find myself mentioning to anyone who will listen. It is a defining game in the shooting genre that all gamers should experience. The Switch version is true to the arcade, but goes above and beyond with the portable vertical play and global leaderboards. Don’t miss out!

Wizard of Legend is a good one-player game, but an ever better game for two players. It has outstanding replay value because of the procedurally generated dungeons and combat system, and two amazing two-player modes. I recommend playing this game with a friend.

8 / 10 - KAMIKO
Apr 29, 2018

Kamiko is short, but it’s only $5. It’s easy to pick up and play for a short time. The three characters offer up unique ways to play, the boss fights are fun, and the speed-runs add to the lasting appeal. Overall, Kamiko is great!
