The Nonary Games is a fantastic package that has two of the best adventure games of all time in a single package with worthy enhancements to 999 which remains one of my favourite games of all time.

Touhou Genso Wanderer is a very nice and accessible rogue like that is perfect for newcomers to the genre and fun for veterans alike.

Danganronpa 1.2 Reload on PlayStation 4 collects two of my favourite games in a long time into a single package that is immense value but the port could’ve been a bit better.

Story of Seasons: Trio of Towns is a relaxing and charming experience full of heart that improves upon its predecessors in a lot of ways while still remaining accessible.

8 / 10.0 - Ys Origin
Feb 27, 2017

Ys Origin on PlayStation 4 is a very good port of a classic game that is the prequel to one of the best action RPG franchises of all time.

Atelier Shallie Plus is a great way to end the Dusk trilogy in the Atelier franchise and suffers from the usual Atelier on Vita problems while still charming me over.

8 / 10.0 - Xanadu Next
Feb 20, 2017

Xanadu Next is classic action RPG from one of my favourite developers with a fantastic score that is let down by a buggy release.

Tales of Berseria is not just one of the best Tales games in a long time, but an essential for any JRPG fan. It’s a huge step up from Zestiria in almost every way.

Fate/EXTELLA is a fun musou game for fans of the Fate universe that is let down by a lacklustre story and visual inconsistencies.

2064: Read Only Memories is an excellent cyberpunk adventure for anyone looking for a point-and-click title inspired by games like Snatcher. Don't forget the catchy soundtrack.

Jan 9, 2017

Slain: Back from Hell is a more metal and modern Castlevania that looks and plays great, but is held back by a few sections which feel unfairly difficulty.

Jan 9, 2017

Shantae: Half-Genie Hero is an easy recommendation to any fan of the genre with its lush visuals, memorable soundtrack and varied environments, making it one of the best 2D platformers of recent times.

9.5 / 10.0 - Steins;Gate 0
Nov 22, 2016

A worthy follow up to Steins;Gate that even surpasses it in many aspects, while delivering a gripping story through multiple endings.

An interesting and great-looking game that blends the visual novel genre with poorly thought-out strategic combat.

7.5 / 10.0 - Exile's End
Nov 3, 2016

Exile’s End is a true old school Metroidvania experience in both good and bad ways that will ring your nostalgia bells while pulling no punches with the gameplay.

Nov 3, 2016

Corpse Party on Nintendo 3DS will scare you like nothing else can and it is is the near best version of the game on any platform.

8.5 / 10.0 - Root Letter
Nov 3, 2016

Root Letter is a great visual novel with superb production values that’s only held back by some localisation issues but excels in atmosphere and one that will remain with you for a long time.

If you’ve been craving more Senran Kagura after Estival Versus or just want a fun brawler with anime titillation, Valkyrie Drive is for you.

The Valkyrie Profile successor you always wanted in both the good and the bad ways.

Oct 18, 2016

One of the scariest experiences I’ve ever had in gaming with its nerve-racking atmosphere and grotesque enemies.
