I can't recommend it enough, and I urge everyone to give it a try because it's the kind of title that can provide a lot of fun, even if you are a fan of other similar football sims. And you can't get better praise than that.
In the end, if you fancy going for better loot, fight more powerful enemies, and unlock all kinds of cool items, Warhammer: Vermintide 2 seems like a dream come true. Even with the bugs and the slightly unbalanced system, it's a game that still tricks me somehow into playing just one more map.
But for the most part, Far Cry New Dawn is fun, and that's the only thing that matters. There is more than enough content to never feel that you're grinding (although you are), and it fulfills one of the weirdest human fascinations, and that's the life after a world-encompassing cataclysm. And best of all, the entirety of the game can be played in co-op mode.
Civilization VI: Gathering Storm is not perfect, but it made Civilization VI better overall, and that's pretty much what people want from an expansion.
If Activision's goal was to get people excited about the prospect of a prime-grade multiplayer experience, then their mission is a success. It's hard to imagine what else they could have done to make this a great multiplayer game, but that's not in dispute. Treyarch still knows how to make things happen.
When the game is over, you're left with a strange feeling of completions and melancholy, and that should be proof enough that you've experienced something worthwhile.
LEGO The Incredibles is satisfying, although I can't say that it's as good as some of the other games that came from the same developers. In any case, the price difference might be small enough to be subjective. If you love the Incredibles and Lego, then getting this game is a no-brainer.
If I were to name a single significant change, this would be the one. I don't know how users are going to react, but I'm willing to bet that in six months after everyone got accustomed to it, FIFA 19 is going to be named the best in the series by the people who are playing it.
You can find Warhammer 40,000: Gladius - Relics of War on GOG and Steam, and if you like TBS games and you're not afraid of a challenge, you should really give it a try.
In any case, the combination of melancholy, frustration, and joy Rival Megagun brings to players mustn't be underestimated. It's an almost perfect blend of genres that just might spawn some fantastic sequels.
Until then, if you're playing Generation Zero in a single player or with other people, you're in for a treat. You're going to experience something unique, and that in itself is valuable.
And the best part is that Man of Medan has so many choices that I can go back, and play something completely different.
Ancestors is not a perfect game, and I think it could have benefited from another six months in development. But the overall scope and reach of the game make playing it worthwhile. I hope the developers will let people know more about some of the mechanics used, like the weird mini-map, because players will want to know.Weirdly, I feel ready, somehow, to be left alone in a jungle.
The only thing that I don't like about the game is the DLC policy, meaning that a lot of the interesting stuff can be bought through DLCs, including two entire maps. Otherwise, if I had the time, I would probably lose entire days hunting virtual animals, and having an inexplicable feeling of acomplishment.
It's also my understanding that the Adventure Time true fans are sticklers and won't accept any mistakes. To them, I can only say that Pirates of the Enchiridion could have been much worse and that they should be grateful that at least they have something to play that's not half-bad before the tenths season arrives.
We can only hope that Bungie will have learned the lessons of the first Destiny and give us the things that we desire, and not just what they planned a long time ago.
All in all, I think that Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor – Martyr should provide more than a satisfactory experience. Just don't look too much under the hood or try to find the reasons behind some of the developer's decisions. It's a decent exploration of the Warhammer universe, and it's more than capable of gobbling up your hours, if you're not careful.
While I can say, with certainty, that Pro Evolution Soccer 2019 is the best one in the series, I can also say that it’s still not as good as it should be. In theory, all of the problems for PES 2020 would be fixed by not releasing the game next year. Ideally, the next game should be PES 2021.
All in all, Soulcalibur VI is fun, despite all of its problems, and I think it's all that matters in a fighting game. If we also take into account the developer's propensity to bring in characters from other games, such as The Witcher or Sonic, it moves the game to another meta-level. And that's definitely something that players will want.
Still, I have hope for the franchise, and I'm sure that it's going to be turned around at some point. Until then, we're left with some mindless fun, and that's about it.
