If you like this sort of game, there’s a lot of fun to be had here. It can be rough getting through those first three or four hours, but if you do you’ll be rewarded with a story that completely delivers on the lesson it’s trying to teach.

Zombie Driver is bad. In almost every conceivable way. It never really hits the mark on anything it attempts, leaving the player with a frustrating mess of interchangeable missions, a map that’s a chore to navigate, sluggish controls, and a story that you’ll forget before you hit the X button to close the software. You’d probably have more fun in a real zombie apocalypse.

80 / 100 - Sairento VR

Sairento is a game that most PSVR owners should check out. It feels like the exact kind of title we’ve been waiting for.

85 / 100 - NHL 20
Sep 13, 2019

I’m excited about the future of the NHL series. Over the past five or six years, the series became incredibly stagnant, and desperately needed a shot of life to continue to hold players’ attention. NHL 20 is just what the doctor ordered. It’s more fun than I’ve had with the series in a very long time, and it’s plethora of modes, and unlockable gear will surely keep me busy until NHL 21.

40 / 100 - The Sinking City
Sep 18, 2019

The Sinking City is the type of game that will appeal only to the most hardcore of H.P. Lovecraft, or noir fiction fans. Everyone else will be left wondering how so much could go so wrong in what really is an excellent idea for a game.

Should you play The Witcher 3? Absolutely. It’s one of a handful of games from the past decade that you simply can’t miss. Should you play The Witcher 3 on the Switch? Honestly, probably not.

88 / 100 - Black Future '88
Nov 21, 2019

I loved my time with Black Future ’88. It’s hard, it’s fun, it’s memorable. In a genre that I have felt has been stagnating a bit over the past year or so, SUPERSCARYSNAKES is here to slap us back into reality.

I did enjoy my time with Farming Simulator 20, but I’m concerned about the level of content to keep me invested down the line. There’s not nearly as much equipment as you would find in the more fleshed out versions of Farming Simulator, but I think if you can get past the shortcomings of the hardware that Farming Simulator 20 was built to run on, you’ll enjoy your time with it too.

86 / 100 - Fight'N Rage
Dec 28, 2019

I’m a big fan of Fight’N Rage. Of course, I’ve been a big fan of beat ’em ups for a long time now, but this game does so much right that I have no problem recommending it to someone that isn’t too familiar with the genre.

I enjoyed Mosaic. It isn’t reinventing the wheel, and we’ve seen this sort of story many times before, but there’s something about this game that just works.

94 / 100 - Resident Evil 3

While the game still stubbornly hangs on to a few of the original’s mechanical shortcomings, the vast majority of the package is a breathtaking recreation of material we fell in love with two decades ago.
