Moons of Madness suffers from itself in many ways.
It becomes addicting and enticing to anyone. Even someone like me who struggles with in-game strategy.
'It's a little quirky and odd. That's what makes it special though.'
Overall, RIDE 4 was my first attempt at getting my toes wet for motorcycles both in general and racing wise. While excited going into this new world, I found myself uninterested and not entertained. Most racing games really bring me in and keep me there technically. As someone who works with their hands a lot and wants to know how things work/make them go faster, racing games really get me going. Herewith RIDE 4, I didn’t really fill that. It felt lackluster and just kind of plain.
It's a moving and relatable narrative that allows you inside our protagonist's life and personal experiences of her subconscious. It's a damn good game.
'F1 2021' continues to grow on what 2020 built. It's a technical, story driver, fast, and fun ride. It's a continuation into a franchise that has become what any F1 fan, or honestly racing fan in general has been wanting for years.
There are some things here that are positive foundations. However, 'NASCAR 21: Ignition' has just missed the racing line and slammed the outside wall.
While it holds up some similarities to NHL 20, there is enough to go into the rink, lace up your skates, and hit the ice.
Overall, WRC 9 is a good representation of rally racing. It is a fun time for someone who enjoys racing or the casual fan just looking to run with your mates.
Dirt 5 is a breath of fresh air into the franchise. Bringing in new and relevant influencers from car culture into the game, and having a blast behind the wheel, it's a game for any gear head.
WRC 10 is a solid entry into the franchise...but I'm just not sure if it's worth taking your keys and trading them in for the newer model.
A Fold Apart brings you into a personal and deep story. It's a story that invites you into a deep and meaningful relationship between two characters. It's a game that's real, and that's why I love it.
Overall, F1 2020 is a really great game a fun and challenging play. Whether you looking to continue your yearly quest of trying to take down Mercedes, or you’re a complete newbie to the sport and just wanting to get out there and run, this is a great game for both.
