More words, less words... but much less, Andres Calamaro would be proud... or not.

ENDER LILIES: Quietus of the Knights is an excellent game, a fantastic metroidvania, and a great work of design and art. Inspirations and similarities, with their own personality, combats, a lot of exploration, pitfalls and possibilities. A title that cannot be missed unless the reader has a minimum taste for 2D games of this genre, here represented by a very complete, rich title with a commendable artistic invoice.

Ambition and quality for the return of one of the most powerful action sagas of the last lustrums. Gears of War 5 is not only a great video game production, but it's also tremendously comprehensive. 90 / 100 - Minit
Nov 11, 2019

How can a game where you only live from minute to minute, in pure black and white and without scrolling be so joyful and rewarding? Because there's a lot of talent behind Minit, an action-RPG that crushes games that last tens of hours.

Moon Studios makes powerful changes in the design of its great work to make it even better. Ori and the Will of the Wisps is a game as complete as it is beautiful. As stimulating with the pad in hand as it is intoxicating to the senses. A solid and charming metroidvania like the light that its protagonist treasures.

NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139… is a wonderful opportunity to meet and enjoy a game that deserves to break out of its niche status, as its formidable sequel has done. I take my hat off to the restoration work, as well as I praise that the original experience is so direct, with the edges that may be there at certain points such as the scarcity of scenarios and areas of action. But by being so respectful in his excellent job of updating, many more players enjoy in a more fluid and improved way something that goes beyond the action-RPG or Japanese cult title.

Unbound: Worlds Apart is something we think we know. Even the beautiful and well crafted artwork is something more and more common in the indie world. That's why the use of portals with properties that vary depending on the time and the area is something very grateful and differentiating, making an experience that would already be quite worthwhile, is directly one of the games of the moment. Five years of effort and illusions behind, which have given an excellent result. Whether you are a machine with platform games, or a one-armed like me, you will find a great game made with care.

"Old but not obsolete", as the Terminator used to tell us. And if it works for him, it works perfectly to sum up what Diablo II: Resurrected has to offer. The classic Diablo II but not the version with more than twenty years behind it, but the construct of years and patches to expand and improve it, with a simply exquisite layer of varnish. A huge job in its time and years of evolution, although it does not reach the benefits and options that the genre that practically inaugurated this saga has been following, and other edges such as post-game or online themes. But there is residue, a lot of residue, and good. Diablo II continues to be played sickly well, on top of that well adapted to the pad and consoles, with an exquisite visual setting. LONG LIVE DEVIL!

A direct and updated sequel to the saga and the same brawler genre, with quality and respect. Classic form and modes in a work so indebted to the past games of the saga, as pampered and cared for the public of the 21st century. The return of Streets of Rage is direct fun and delicious rhythm, to return to it on multiple occasions as demanded by the best exponents of the brawler of yesteryear.

85 / 100 - Welcome to Elk
Sep 23, 2020

On the cold little island of Elk we have people, and people always have stories. Listening to them and perhaps telling them ourselves in turn, is what has made so many continue to live for thousands of years. We will then know real stories, without morals or attachments, human stories, within a very particular narrative game and with a deep work within it.

85 / 100 - Gears Tactics
Oct 5, 2020

"Hey, what can you do to keep a strong franchise active between games?" Well, cool stuff like this, turning a TPS into an RTS ...... oh shit, into a turn-based strategy game. "And will I like it?" Definitely. Because that's the great achievement of Gears Tactics, changing genre, making it fun, well balanced and measured. And may the original spirit continue and be maintained for all those millions of players who only want to saw larvae, or pierce them with their retro-lancer. There are many Metroidvanias, and they will not be lacking in the future. Well, Touhou Luna Nights abandons his genre in video games based on the bullet hell shooter, but not so much, no. Because the precision, the action, the timing, the rhythm and those situations and bosses that scare the fear when seeing them, are still here. But with a head, patience and a steady hand, they give a satisfying and challenging 2D side game. The Handmaid's Tale, stopping time and throwing hundreds of daggers, floating with our apron.

85 / 100 - The Signifier
Oct 15, 2020

The Signifier is a solid adventure, technically, proposed and executed. It's a work with ambition and high aims, a way to combine situations and even genres, in a successful and efficient way. We won't be as handsome as Leonado DiCaprio or Tom Cruise, but we will navigate the dream much more than they do, there is a crime to be solved. And a constantly advancing planet as well.

85 / 100 - Pikuniku
Oct 26, 2020

Games like Pikuniku are not only appreciated but even needed. An adventure as fun as it is sympathetic, a story with humor and message, a world full of expressiveness and a multitude of things to do, and an inspired and expressive presentation and audiovisual design. All this in an accessible but substantial platform game and exploration during this saving feat and curious social realism.
