While feeling a tad bare bones, DNF Duel still manages to be a highly entertaining 2D fighting game among many coming out this year.
The Resident Evil Village: Winters' Expansion is a nice bundle of story and gameplay content that managed to engage and entertain me despite being a short-lived experience.
If you're a fan of beat em up games and the first River City game you'll most likely enjoy River City Girls 2 and all if not, you will still enjoy the game if you can ignore its few annoyances.
Despite some odd gameplay choices, Season: A letter to the future provides a unique narrative, highly immersive gameplay experience, and impeccable visuals, making it an easy recommendation for indie game lovers.
The Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster collection is a great bundle to introduce new JRPG players to the Final Fantasy series, and provides old fans a nice nostalgic trip. While some issues could be ironed out, the collection provides an enjoyable experience regardless.

Overall, One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 succeeds in doing what most anime-based games fail at. Its fluid, offers a tremendous amount of fan service, and not to mention its ridiculously fun to play through with fantastic production and an equally incredible soundtrack to boot. For the One Piece fans out there looking for a game of their favorite anime, I say this is the best one we have on the market so far, despite the faults it has.
Overall, I can confidently say Yakuza: Like A Dragon is an impressive new addition to the series with stunning visuals, interesting characters, and an incredibly engaging story. However, the newly introduced gameplay mechanics hold the game back with several balancing issues, and coupled with its vastly different elements, it might be a tough sell for longtime fans of the series.
All in all, I enjoyed my time with the game almost more than I did with the first. The sequel really makes you think about this strange world where everyone's a monster except these kids who've been stripped of their innocent due to their unjust and cruel fate. I also can't help but think of what other characters other than Mono and Six may be out there fighting their own battles, so I really hope we get to see more of this hauntingly beautiful world Tarsier Studios has brought to life. So if you're a fan of the first game or even have a mild interest in the series, I can't recommend both games enough.
All in all, Guilty Gear Strive is undoubtedly another great entry in the series. The game masterfully blends its crisp visuals with its stylistic gameplay. The level and environmental designs were especially awe-inspiring as each level oozes with style and an amount of detail not seen in many fighting games. It's incredibly intricate yet friendly gameplay, attractive character designs, and inviting next-gen visuals are but a few of the reasons you should pick up this game, especially if you're a fighting game fanatic.
Overall, Samurai Warriors 5 definitely has its fair share of faults. However, those faults aren't nearly enough to hinder the fact that the game offers a gratifying experience and is an excellent addition to the series.
Sam & Max: Beyond Time and Space Remastered was a treat to play through. The game's characters will entertain you from start to end, and all its mechanics have been expertly remade. As such, it is a no-brainer for fans of the series, especially at the reasonable price of $20, and a great suggestion in general to gamers who enjoy a good laugh.
Overall, Monster Hunter Rise is a great game with an even better PC port that I believe is the best way to enjoy the game especially if you're a hardcore fan of the series that prefers to hunt monsters in the most optimal way possible.
Overall, while it had its issues, Aspire: Ina's Tale was a delight to play through. The developers did an excellent job of crafting a beautiful and immersive world. The puzzles are challenging, and the brief narrative is engaging. So if you're in the mood for a highly unique puzzle-platformer, Aspire: Ina's Tale might be the game for you, provided you don't mind the incredibly short playtime.
All in all, I believe Supermassive Games did a great job with The Quarry. While it doesn't offer much in terms of gameplay, the story and characters are by far the best it's been in some of the developer's recent titles and provide an experience that can even rival the spiritual predecessor, Until Dawn.
Overall, Stray surprised me in how well it wears its features and themes on its sleeve and how well crafted said features are. It's a game created for cat lovers by cat lovers, but with features and mechanics everyone can enjoy irrespective of age or pet preference. It's just too bad that the journey you'll go on, while memorable, is incredibly short, at only about eight hours long.
