While the Musou genre remains divided outside its developer’s homeland, it still gives players an anticipated follow-up to one of the biggest sequels of a generation. While we all impatiently await Link and Zelda’s return in Breath of the Wild 2, Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity is sure to leave Zelda fans salivating.

Cold War exudes a creative evolvement in its storytelling, more than its existing blueprint. The framework of its successful gameplay loop remains intact, and while some may criticise it – justly – you cannot deny that it works every time; if it's not broke, don’t fix it.

Melody of Memory attest to these facets with every symphony that adorns each world. While it may not demonstrate a traditional exposition, nor does it present Kingdom Hearts in the best of ways, it’s an additional chapter and one that hardcore fans of Kingdom Hearts will appreciate, while awaiting its impending grand finale.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla is the series' greatest accomplishment to date. Deviating from the norm of Creed's commonplace that had the franchise devout confounded for a myriad of reasons, this is quite the reboot.

Now leaping over to the next generation, we’re once again revisited by DMC5’s astounding example in presentation and overall design with some additional features for added engagement. This, along with an extension to its already existing campaign makes for Devil May Cry 5: Special Edition an essential for PlayStation 5, and XBOX Series X owners.

The free range flow of this foray into the world of London, the power you have to control every piece of tech, the hilarity of controlling a Police car at your fingertips, and the engaging scenarios that elevate the tension given in its campaign all deliver one of the best title’s of 2020, and a fantastic way to end out our current generation.

While there’s still room for improvement; less jump scares, more suspenseful scenarios, Little Hope has outdone its predecessor ten-fold. This is the perfect addition to a horror aficionado’s collection, and a must have for Halloween this year.

Ghostrunner will carry us through to our next generation, with the implication that even the simplest gameplay loop can deliver an action packed experience. A combination of solid parkour traversing, incredible detail and design with seamless and stylish offense that is fused with an incredibly futuristic overture makes for one of the best gaming experiences, this year.

Everything that is delivered in this year’s release is a decent offering for those looking to essentially make the ‘upgrade’ from FIFA 20. A updated roster, with new features and some contextual upgrades applied makes FIFA 21, a valuable Football title for 2020.
