All we know is that from Gameplay to Graphics, inFamous: Second Son is simply outstanding. The only thing for the series to improve on would be a little better writing for it’s next entry, and Sucker Punch are more than capable.

But, if you can’t wait to play some next gen, Metal Gear action much like myself, then pick this bad boy up, and take your time. I think that’s what the slogan for this game should be; “Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes – Take your sweet ass time, ‘cos you’re not getting another ’til 2015”.

9 / 10.0 - Mario Kart 8
May 15, 2014

If there’s one thing to say about this title, it’s that Mario Kart 8 is the savior that the Wii U desperately needed. We’ve seen many key franchises release titles over the past year, but nothing comes close the amazing detail that Mario Kart 8 gives. From the characters, to the track, the full Nintendo experience is here, and it is glorious. Well done, Nintendo.

The Uncharted series was always the staple for Naughty Dog in that exact role. However, The Last of Us has certainly defended it’s right to be the one the best Playstation title’s of all time. With beautiful graphics, a wonderfully written story, that’s almost too good to be a video game, and music that just sets the tone for an almost death-row lead life, you really can appreciate why this title scored over 20 Game of the Year awards.

8 / 10.0 - Hyrule Warriors

While it’s a shame I won’t be able to share the experience with a friend without the game completely crapping out on itself, I will continue to enjoy this title and it’s unique take on the Zelda universe. Do I think it was worth a Limited Edition release? Probably not. But I would recommend this to any Dynasty Warriors, or Zelda fan for some great fun.

Being able to talk to, and discuss an old school game to the younger generation, and have that be something that’s new for them, is simply awesome. The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask (3D), may not be the typical, nor standard franchise story we see, but will always stand the test of time, and be memorable for being the most unique title, of it’s series.

I remember finishing the game, and for the whole week, all I could think about was how amazing this game actually was. I had been through a lull-period with gaming this year, but Life is Strange, truly re-invigorated what I love about gaming in 2015. A passionate tale, about great characters, with great gameplay. It’s seriously, a must play.

The Story, the characters, the amazing sequences, that had me wanting to see more amazing sequences, gripping me on the edge of my seat, wanting more. Tales from the Borderlands will be a game, that will forever be etched in my memory, as one of the best.

9 / 10.0 - Firewatch

It’s a simple, elegant, effective, beautifully crafted, artistic piece, that I will personally cherish in my gaming collection, and would be happy to go back and experience again in the future. Just like any well written story. Well done Campo Santo, Well done.

Pokken Tournament is a fun Online/Local multiplayer arcade fighter though, experiencing the game with others can be a party but also sets the question of “How long before I head back to Smash Bros.?”

9 / 10.0 - Devil May Cry 5
Mar 11, 2019

I speak for myself here when I say that I loved Ninja Theory’s ideal reboot to the franchise with DmC: Devil May Cry, but has nothing on the series original arc. It’s low risk-high reward accessibility that allows any gamer, casual to hardcore, to easily pick up and play. Fast paced, violence, with blood pumping action, an amazing storyline that ties up loose ends from previous entries, and amazing callbacks, that will have any hardcore DMC fan devilishly grinning from ear to ear.

A diverse open-world adventure, with draw dropping environments, that make traversing fun and seem less like a task, like any great video game does. And a fun, non-canonical, original story that makes quite an experience for fans and players who are deep into the One Piece lore. One Piece: World Seeker was a 12 hour experience, and one I surely will return to.

It personally resonated with me, as someone who struggles with facing their personal shortcomings, but tries their best to overcome them, even with adversity standing in their way, with strength, passion, and desire. It may start a little rough around the edges at first, but the title came through for me after getting through that first hurdle. It definitely has left a lasting impression, and still has me thinking after completing it.

7.5 / 10.0 - The Princess Guide

The core mechanics deliver on all fronts, upgrade system is not convoluted, nor cumbersome which is great, the game looks beautiful for the genre it’s settles in, it does not try to over-deliver, nor does it under-utilise anything it brings with it. It’s hours of nonsense, that will have any fans of the JRPG genre loving this title.

Of course, for those who have experienced the trilogy on it’s original platform, you aren’t necessarily getting anything new here, however, if you are a hardcore fan of the series, you’re definitely getting a well deserved upgrade. The ability to play all three titles on your TV, or even with upgraded graphics on the Nintendo Switch, makes this the perfect replacement.

It also delivers for hardcore players looking for a grinding experience, one for those who love to really get intense with their turn based combat, and love for all the characters across the Dragon Ball universe. The game doesn’t completely deliver if you are looking for an action packed adventure, but this is definitely not what the game is trying to sell, it’s fun for kids to adults, just looking for a good time.

9 / 10.0 - Mortal Kombat 11
May 3, 2019

It’s fantastic for old lovers and newcomers to the franchise, and a great entry point to anyone looking for a quick fighting game fix, but would also love to experience the immerse genre of fighting games. The most accessible, and also, the most extensive fighter out right now. Mortal Kombat invites all gamers out there to experience what is great in the fighting genre, and it’s latest entry is definitely proof of it. Mortal Kombat 11 is definitely the best fighting game I have ever played.

A Plague Tale: Innocence, certainly delivers. An astounding cinematic experience, with gameplay that will have you hooked for hours. A Plague Tale: Innocence, is definitely an early contender for Game of the Year.

By design, it’s awesome, by gameplay, somewhat convoluted. Sure, there’s the minor framerate skip here and there, but that does not take you out of the element at all. The game’s charm, and wit will keep you right into this amazing world, and will want you to continue exploring the labyrinth over and over again. I totally love the grind of Lapis X Labryrinth.
