The Plucky Squire is an incredibly inventive and unique amalgamation of 2D and 3D gameplay. Its charming little story is played out with a comedic tone and sarcastic humor that is a welcomed accompaniment to the incredibly fun-to-play gameplay.

7.4 / 10.0 - Sonic Superstars
Dec 5, 2023

Sonic’s latest adventure brings him back to his roots while modernizing that classic 2D formula. While the gameplay doesn’t reach the highs of Sonic Mania, it doesn’t hit rock bottom in the way of Sonic the Hedgehog 4. Sonic Superstars is a fun adventure, full of many surprises, which will delight fans of the blue hedgehog, and 2D platforming as a whole.

7 / 10.0 - High on Knife
Oct 19, 2023

High on Knife is a fun return to the High on Life world Squanch Games created. That said, the adventure seems rather short, taking between 2 to 3 hours to complete. While the post-game does provide players with additional side missions, and an excuse to further explore the DLCs new areas, none of them feel particularly substantial.

While the initial concept appears simple on the surface, the end result is anything but. By uniquely combining two staples in the gaming pantheon, dietzribi impacted both the indie scene and the puzzle genre as a whole.

Fun can still be had in Stubbs The Zombie, however, its flaws are still ever apparent. It’s a mostly enjoyable experience, just feels very dated and was an incredibly low-effort remaster.

Wonder Boy Asha in Monster World is a fun action-platforming adventure, but very much feels like a game of the 90s with a splash of paint.

Everything from the characters to dialog is leaking with charm. While the game does suffer from gameplay issues and slowdowns, UmaikiGames endearing efforts should definitely be applauded.

Despite that imbalance, overall I enjoyed the challenging puzzles. While the Oddworld franchise may be unknown by many, and beloved by some, this remastered classic is rough but still fun.
