Have you ever been watching your favorite series, charged with tension, and wished you could influence what was happening on screen? Well, that's the feeling that As Dusk Falls gives us, only instead of an innocuous warning to the television, this time the guys from INTERIOR/NIGHT allow us to do it. A very well told story that will involve us, a beautiful artistic invoice and thousands of options to take our own path make As Dusk Falls a must for anyone who likes to enjoy good stories.

80 / 100 - BIOMUTANT
Jun 7, 2021

Biomutant, to date, we have found it to be a very enjoyable open-world role-playing game, but with aspects that can be improved, strengths and others that seem half-baked. With all this put in a balance, what we find today is a fun game that could have been better but is still worth enjoying.

Saviors of Sapphire Wings and Stranger of Sword City Revisited bring us to the Nintendo Switch a pack of two games with a very specific approach and aimed at a very specific audience. They do not invent the wheel or stand out greatly above the average of the genre but if you find yourself among the lovers of the dungeon crawler variant of the crpg, rest assured that both titles together will give you hours of fun.

BEAUTIFUL DESOLATION brings us a new classic graphic adventure, but this time with a touch of another genre that will give us variety. With certain aspects that could have been better adjusted, it is, however, a good option for lovers of the genre who want to enjoy it in its version for Nintendo Switch.

Solasta: Crown of the Magister is not only what you see, but what it promises to be. Its implementation of the D&D 5.1 rules is excellent, and although the history of the campaign will not leave a mark on us, it will offer us hours of essential fun for lovers of role-playing games. The best, moreover, is yet to come, because there is no doubt that the community will honor the publisher included and acquire Solasta: Crown of the Magister is to acquire, as one who acquires the game manual, not only one adventure, but many future ones.

Siege Survival: Gloria Victis is a tough game, rather raw, demanding at all times, and highly enjoyable. It will remind us of This War of Mine taken to a different terrain and, like that, it will put us against the ropes, and we will enjoy trying to overcome the challenge over and over again until we achieve it.

85 / 100 - Battle Axe
Apr 26, 2021

Battle Ax is the latest game from a small company that seems to have had a taste for bringing us flavors of the past, and it does so with mastery. It fulfills all its characteristics: visual, sound, playable, direct and uncomplicated, and short but very replayable. A game that a lover of the genre cannot miss.

Atelier Mysterious Trilogy Deluxe Pack does not reinvent the wheel and remains in the comfort zone of the saga, which is where its audience is. But it offers us the best chance of getting this complete trilogy, with all the downloadable content, and some additional extras. If you are attracted to the saga or you are already following it and you missed these titles in their day, now is the time to get hold of them.

90 / 100 - MotoGP 21
Apr 22, 2021

Milestone has taken all the good he has done so far and taken it further. It has not limited itself to leaving everything as it was and giving it a little graphic wash for the new generation, but has added aspects to help newbies and also to take its simulator side further, making MotoGP 21 a highly recommended product.

Vaporum: Lockdown offers us a new story, but told without frills, through texts, audios and some dialogue. It is not worth it, in any case, to acquire the game just for its history. Nor does it offer hardly any news and its humble origin is noticeable. The developer has gone to ensure that it has already been very continuous. Which is not necessarily bad. If we liked the first installment, this one will too, as long as we don't expect any revolution but more of the same with the same invoice.

Immortal Legacy: The Jade Cypher[VR] has been a long time coming, but the important thing is to do it. It offers us a title that aims to emulate some references of the genre, mixing in turn several styles of play in a game time to overcome it content. It is not exempt, however, from needing some adjustment that we hope will be made, but today a notable game has several bugs present throughout the game that, if not solved, tarnish the overall result. You can enjoy it, but we must get used to compensating for the deviation of the aim, to constantly see forced postures that spoil a set that, on the other hand, would be very visually pleasing, and to play as if there were no subtitles. In a sentence we could qualify Immortal Legacy: The Jade Cypher[VR] for PC as a remarkable game with a very improvable port.

Bishoujo Battle Cyber Panic! offers us a type of game highly known and cloned to satiety since that distant Qix, but no less valid even today. Its 50 levels and its arcade-like rejubality, as well as its very reasonable price, make it a great option to spend dead time in the most entertaining way. Technically content, it does not need more, and its only obvious drawback is the absence of a multiplayer mode both local and online, as well as a music that ends up being too repetitive and pounding.

Days of Heroes: D-Day brings us the memory of a look that seems to be taken from a SEGA Model 1. After this simple visual aspect, they offer us a variety of situations in missions, usually quite concrete and concise, in which a simple text will serve as a context to get us to work to shoot left and right, advancing step by step. It is a game that, while entertaining and has its virtues, does not stand out in any way compared to other alternatives that already exist on the market. In this way, it is a fun game, but without much pretense.

Monster Energy Supercross 4 is not a game for everyone, which is the way of saying that we are facing a demanding game for lovers of the genre who do not mind spending the necessary time to climb along the trajectory mode, its main asset. Milestone is specializing in these types of games, they feel comfortable, and hopefully they will continue to give their all for many years.

To evaluate a Turrican compilation is to evaluate, on the one hand, if the port is good or has flaws. On the other hand, the additions it brings. And of course the games that compose it and the selection made. Regarding the first, the port is well adapted to current platforms, visually and in terms of control. The add-ons are sparse and the menus are somewhat dull, but this is not detrimental to the final result. Of course the best are the games that compose it, because at the end of the day we are talking about 4 great games essential in the shelf of any fan of the genre. The only thing that really tarnishes the final result is the absence of Super Turrican 2, which would have made it a definitive and totally satisfactory compilation.

The King of Fighters XIV is a big comeback for the saga, and this Ultimate Edition version is an unbeatable opportunity to jump on the bandwagon. In addition to the very large base squad (not all of them are here, but we can't say that they have fallen short by a long shot), its well-adjusted gameplay, game modes and difficulty so as not to leave anyone behind, from the most novice to the most veteran, all the additional content that has been emerging is added, making it the most complete experience, and all at a good price.

We can not say that with this installment the saga moves away from the niche where his comfort zone was or dare to look even you to you to the greats of the genre, because the base and the way of telling the story remain unchanged, but the production values and the care devoted to the game have made a clear leap. With this, not only fans of the saga are in luck, but many fans of the genre who were looking at the saga without knowing whether to dare to approach or not, can try this installment as the best opportunity to do so. Ryza 2 becomes, on its own merit, the best installment of this long-running saga.

Bluecoats: North & South, proposes a curious mix between Risk, an RTS and an FPS, but staying very on the surface of each of them, and leaving the result with the feeling of being very little polished. It's entertaining, just like the original was, but it ends up being a bit of a no-man's-land. It depends a lot on what mentality you face it with, you can enjoy it a lot if it is looking for the flavor of the original, or not if you do it from the search for an update to these days.

Revolution Software has taken 26 years to bring us the sequel to Beneath to Steel Sky and, despite being a very small studio, they manage to show us a game that, although not technically perfect, delivers without problems, and offers us a good example of the genre that has managed to continue, despite the years that have passed, the story of the original. If you liked the first one, we definitely recommend this second installment. And if you haven't been able to enjoy it, take advantage of the fact that it's now free on GOG and Steam, and take it as a preview of what you can enjoy in this sequel.

90 / 100 - DiRT 5
Nov 6, 2020

Codemasters returns to the fray with the new installment of the saga, entrusting it to experts in the field and giving a great result in its return to the arcade. Technically it borders on a high level, although it is not exempt from needing certain improvements that, some are promised from the company such as adding compatibility with steering wheels, and others we can only think that they will surely be because right now they contrast in a somewhat incomprehensible way such as the absence of driver in the vehicles or interior movement of the steering wheel in the relevant camera, but none that affects the playability and great control or ability to entertain. The fact that it is one of the titles that will have a free update for XBOX Series X and PlayStation 5 is an added value for users of the Sony or Microsoft platforms.
