The Angry Video Game Nerd 8-bit is a new entry in the surprisingly still active series starring the old school YouTube sensation.
If you've missed playing them on the Wii, there's no better time to get into Super Mario Galaxy than now.
laytonic and friends take another stab at Yooka-Laylee with Yooka-Replaylee, a revised version of their 2017 Rare-flavored character platformer.
There’s no better time to jump into The Legend of Heroes than now as Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter, as the name suggests, is a reinvention of its opening story. And what an excellent remake it is!
Baby Steps puts you in a weird situation you’ll have to struggle to walk out of. Quite literally.
If at this point you’re still in doubt about whether or not it’s worth picking Hades 2 up, go ahead and do this experiment: play the first game if you haven’t, as it’s often on sale, and if you come close to liking it, imagine a sequel that builds upon and improves just about everything about it. That’s Hades 2, without exaggeration. And that’s not to belittle what came before it as that was already an easy top game of the decade contender on its own. It’s just that the new one is a study case on how to bring about a sequel, which for Supergiant Games is a two-edged sword: how will they be able to top this? Should they try? For someone who has been playing their releases for years at this point, I’m curious to see what their answer will be. Until that time comes, there’s plenty of Hades 2 to dig into, so if you’ll excuse me, I’ve got some abominations to slaughter and upgrades to sink some currency into…
Lizardcube delivers another brilliant revival to a classic Sega property with Shinobi: Art of Vengeance!
Along with a host of improvements, this new version of Kirby and the Forgotten Land brings some new challenging content to boot. (Review in Portuguese for Entertainium Brasil)
Drag x Drive is a unique spin on the sport that no one but Nintendo could've come up with.
One of the most colorful GBA games never released, Shantae Advance: Risky Revolution is very much worth letting the half-genie out of the bottle again for.
Salamander 3 is reason enough to get Gradius Origins, and the rest of the games on the list are also well worth sticking around for.
Pick your alma mater and get ready to grind it out in EA Sports College Football 26, the best football game this year.
The Hundred Line: Last Defense Academy gets a lot of things right, perhaps too many to be helped.
From the team that brought us Super Mario Galaxy, Donkey Kong Bananza takes the big ape on a fantastic journey full of wanton destruction. (Review in Portuguese for Entertainium Brasil)
Earthion has an enviable pedigree and sports tight, varied, and entertaining gameplay that make it an instant classic. And of course, its soundtrack rocks HARD.
The team behind Blasphemous has done it again! Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound offers plenty of ninja fun for players of all skill levels to enjoy.
While the new additions aren’t anything to write home about, there’s still plenty to enjoy in the ironically named Yakuza 0: Director’s Cut on the Switch 2.
Clutchtime: Basketball Deckbuilder is one of the most creative takes on this style of game that I’ve seen over the last few years. I can easily imagine getting lost in it with how it smartly threw me off the notion of playing a mere card game by having it be themed around a sport that is anything but turn-based such as basketball. And still, by having it be reliant on the highs and lows of the actual sports is what makes it special. Having the potential to turn around a near-impossible win with a miraculous comeback through a combination of lucky draws and careful planning is an exciting prospect that doesn’t take much effort, while proving extremely rewarding when it all comes together.
Hideo Kojima is set loose in yet another post-apocalyptic delivery adventure in Death Stranding 2; it is definitely more Death Stranding, perhaps more than what was bargained for.
Regardless of how you choose to play it – be it on a controller or go old school with keyboard and mouse – Neverwinter Nights 2 proves that it’s still one of Obsidian’s best games.
