The Blind of the New World is a phenomenal and unique sci-fi story for the ages. The characters really bring a story about living in a “utopia” to life. I love Seejay and Chohyun’s story, and that doesn’t happen without the exceptional writing, localization, and a nice soundtrack to boot among other things. I spent 9 hours on this game, and those are 9 hours I’d happily spend again in the future. I’ll be more likely to do so knowing that it costs $9.99. It’s a great release and you should definitely check it out. Congratulations to TALESSHOP and may you bless us with more releases in the future.
All in all, IxSHE Tell is a wonderful romantic package that delivers on breathtaking character development. Gorgeous art and a catchy soundtrack back up a wonderful story of a modern day hero’s troublesome dilemma. I spent 29 hours on the game, and I can wholeheartedly say that I enjoyed every minute. I absolutely recommend it for anyone who’s in the mood for a fresh take on high school romance. You can pick up the game today on Steam and NekoNyan’s website especially for $25.49. The adult patch for the Steam version is free. NekoNyan is quickly becoming my favorite visual novel publisher and for a lot of people as well, go check out their ongoing Kickstarter campaign for their next title and tell them we sent you. See you next time for the Riddle Joker review!
Yumeutsutsu Re:Master is the most insane yuri visual novel I’ve read. More than Nurse Love Syndrome. Kogado and Degica continue to prove themselves as the dynamic duo that deliver emotionally heavy scripts in the unlikeliest of settings. The exceptional voice work and character art makes this a feast for the eyes and ears. I was personally on the hook from beginning to end and I long for more. Thankfully, we have Yumeutsutsu Re:After to look forward to. However, there’s an elephant in the room that we need to address: the price. It’s hard for me to convince you to spend $64.99 on this visual novel. I’ll never forget the 25 hours I’ve spent reading this. The problem is that it was only 25 hours. Should the game’s price ever dip to the same as its Nurse counterpart, I’ll wholeheartedly recommend it. Until then, wait for a sale.
Making*Lovers is a true work of art for fans of romantic comedies. There’s enough content to make you cry from laughter, and cry from pure joy. The art, sound, writing all cater to a mature audience looking for a different approach to love. You won’t regret picking this one up. Making*Lovers is currently priced at $26.99, and after spending 23 hours with it, it’s worth every penny. If you plan on purchasing through Steam, please get the 18+ patch for the full experience. It’s free thanks to the publisher. Congratulations to NekoNyan on yet another successful release and I really can’t wait to play the next one. Stay safe everyone and please look forward to my next review.
Senren*Banka is the most amazing visual novel I’ve read to date. The amount of content put in by Yuzusoft and properly brought over by NekoNyan make this a must own title for all types of visual novel fans. This was the most satisfying 40 hours I’ve spent on a visual novel and I took the time to write my longest review yet in hopes I can convince you to play. Please consider supporting both developer and publisher by grabbing the game if you haven’t already. It’s $34.99 and it’s easily worth every penny. I want to thank NekoNyan for giving me the best Valentine’s Day gift ever. Please look forward to Dracu-Riot and Riddle Joker when they’re out, and if you want more NekoNyan consider playing Making*Lovers! Thank you for reading all of this, and please stay safe.
TRINOLINE is a visual masterpiece with a dramatic story that’ll leave you in tears. Regardless of the few glaring issues, this is undoubtedly a must-read. It will take a lot of stamina to power through the low points of the story, but once you get there, you’ll experience something truly incredible. My game clock informs me that I spent 33 hours reading this which justifies the $34.95 price point. Pick it up today on MangaGamer and Steam and once you’re done prepare yourself mentally for the next endeavor.
Despite falling on its face towards the end, DATE A LIVE: Rio Reincarnation is still a must-read for those who checked out Rinne Utopia and Arusu Install. The satisfaction of seeing the new girls once again is just unparalleled. While it doesn’t give the series a satisfying conclusion, we can only hope for more when DATE A LIVE: Ren Dystopia comes out in 2020 with the Western release sometime close to that. Rio Reincarnation took eight hours to read, and while paired with the 39 from Rinne Utopia AND Arusu Install it makes the $49.99 standard price worth every penny. The countdown to Ren Dystopia begins and we hope to see you back here when we can review it.
There’s clearly a lot to love with Nurse Love Syndrome, an all-ages title that conveys the most mature story I’ve read this year. For this review I spent 33 hours reading through all the good endings and knowing its price point sits at $40, I wholeheartedly recommend this title to not just fans of girls’ love but also fans of the medical field, great stories, and cliché romance.
Sabbat of the Witch is my choice for the best visual novel localization of last year. It’s without a doubt a masterpiece of a story featuring a very lovely and memorable cast. Furthermore, you’re going to get your money’s worth. For clarification, the game currently sits at $29.99, and I spent well over 40 hours reading. It’s worth every penny and second. The question remains if anything will release this year that will fill me with as much joy as this one.
At the end of the day, The World Next Door is still an incredibly unique title. Mixing fast paced battles with wonderful characters and a rather curious story, it’s a standout indie game you should be giving a look. I clocked in six hours when I culminated my playthrough. No doubt you’ll get your money’s worth in multiple runs at the base price of $14.99. A congratulations to the developer on the launch and may they learn from this to make even better games.
Overall, National Park Girls is a unique must-read experience. My only problem is the length as I find myself wanting to read more and felt that where it ended was a bit anti-climactic. However, my interest is at a high and I’m counting the days until the next episode comes out. National Park Girls is out now on Steam for $4.99, and after clocking 100 minutes in this adventure I can say it’s worth every penny.
Under One Wing is a journey through the skies like no other. Harmorise carefully crafted each and every detail of this game to create an overall outstanding experience, and with the help of Sol Press fans got to experience it just a bit quicker. The lack of a thought-provoking and memorable overall story keeps it from being one of the all-time greats. It’s still a very different story from the ones on the market right now, and one of the best releases early on this year. I clocked in at 28.4 hours mostly running the game on auto and reading all the routes. A worthwhile experience for your time and wallet.
Elli is the textbook definition of a simplistic platformer. While nothing was overly outstanding, it was just fun. If you can ignore the plot holes and plain soundtrack, it’ll definitely be a treat for the gameplay alone. However, it’s just not right now as the game is priced at $19.99 USD, and I clocked in eight hours from start to finish. In conclusion, please consider picking this up during a sale to get the most out of your dollar.
Heart of the Woods is the quintessential modern day fairy tale. With enough love, drama and touches of fantasy to make for a ride like no other. The best part is that it’s only $14.99 to enter this attraction. The future is bright for Studio Élan so get in on the fun early. Congratulations to the team on the launch!
