Alice Gear Aegis CS: Concerto of Simulatrix came with great variety in customization items and unique personalities for the cast but failed with its massive repetition. Not giving different [gameplay] traits to each actress, or even locking each of them to a weapon type, made gameplay too repetitive. This factor and the repetitive grinding reinforce the feeling of mobile game and fails to live up to the variety a console title should offer to its public.

Caverns of Mars: Recharged is exactly in the middle between bringing new things and leaning on material from the original game. Repetition is still a constant in titles from the Recharged series and it's no different here, but still, Caverns of Mars manages to entertain in an addictive way for a good few hours, just because it's simple and objective.

Ninja JaJaMaru: The Great Yokai Battle + Hell - Deluxe Edition is a great way to celebrate an Eastern classic at the same time that it presents it to the Western public.

7.5 / 10.0 - Akka Arrh
Feb 21, 2023

A remake of a never-released prototype might seem overly ambitious, but Akka Arrh certainly lives up to the mystery of its source. It may even be too simplistic for today's players, used to more elements and options, but here's a game that deserves to be known, especially by fans of Atari's legacy.

5 / 10.0 - Deliver Us Mars
Feb 21, 2023

Deliver Us Mars tries to improve on everything its predecessor did that was interesting, but perhaps it tried to do too much at the same time. The narrative is very good and dense, but the various performance problems are perhaps just not a nuisance for those who really enjoyed Deliver Us The Moon.

5 / 10.0 - Wanted: Dead
Feb 14, 2023

Wanted: Dead had a great team and the idea of mixing two action types so distinct was propitious, but unfortunately the game came with many gameplay issues. Besides that, it's inconceivable that the final visual quality is so far from the one shown on the trailers.

Wonder Boy Anniversary Collection lives up to the legacy of the franchise about children who have to defeat giant monsters and save kingdoms and princesses. The ports and each version's peculiarities are handled well and the gallery is full of content. Now we have a collection worthy of being one of the best for current generations.

Wings of Bluestar is another case of ok game that could have been much better. All the issues above, as well as the outdated animations and backgrounds don't make it unplayable but there are certainly better options at the same price.

9 / 10.0 - NeverAwake
Jan 19, 2023

NeverAwake managed to combine the frantic action of a shooting game with a serious and very touching story about trauma and loss. This, added to its vast content, sharp controls and unique artistic style, makes it a unique piece of its kind.

7 / 10.0 - Sail Forth
Jan 13, 2023

Sail Forth manages to be interesting for fans of slow adventures and who like to wander between one objective and another. Its colorful visual style and calm soundtrack make everything more relaxing, but that doesn't exempt it from its minor flaws either. Moreover, it is indicated for pirates who are retiring and no longer want to brave rough seas.

8.5 / 10.0 - Breakers Collection
Jan 10, 2023

Compared to other fighting collections, Breakers Collection has far fewer titles, but the care taken in the port, as well as the various additions that only maximize the original potential, make these two indispensable for those who enjoy the classics of the genre. If you're a fan of 2D punching and spell trading, this duo needs to be in your library.

Water Margin: The Tale of Clouds and Wind is not the first choice for those who want to play a classic of the genre, but the curious and nostalgic will get a good piece of history when they experience this picturesque beat 'em up. Just the history of its production from three decades ago to the current release is already a good reason to understand what game lovers can do when they want.

8.5 / 10.0 - Jitsu Squad
Dec 22, 2022

Jitsu Squad is simply a product suitable for playing alone or with someone, for people who want something fun and with the right amount of intensity without missing on its soft, cartoonish humor. Its small issues aren't enough not to have this beat'em up in your list.

Warhammer 40,000: Shootas, Blood & Teef runs away from all the heavily crafted narrative of the franchise to deliver simpler, more sincere and objective fun. The commands can be a little out of the ordinary, but this is a good title to enjoy with friends.

8 / 10.0 - Cassiodora
Dec 14, 2022

A medieval shoot 'em up, something unusual, but which Cassiodora delivers with competence and a lot of creativity. Merits also the simple gameplay, well-planned multiplayer and skill implementation.

7.5 / 10.0 - The Rumble Fish 2
Dec 8, 2022

The Rumble Fish 2 is a very worthwhile experience, both for the rarity of the title itself and for the legacy it carries and its easy-to-understand mechanics. However, those who are used to more current and complex titles may not be very excited about it.

Police Simulator: Patrol Officers had a good idea, that's for sure. Modestly, it could even have been a "law-side GTA" or just another crazy simulator with a cop but the amount of issues turns it into something totally forgettable and not worth even meme status.

Tad the Lost Explorer comes with good intentions and [it's] based on a fun animation, but its technical issues turn it into a very weak title among other options inspired by cartoons and movies. It isn't horrendous, but think twice before starting this exploration that's as clumsy as its protagonist.

8 / 10.0 - WRC Generations
Nov 21, 2022

If WRC 10 were compared to a party, WRC Generations would be that box with snacks and cake that you keep on eating in the following days: it's still tasty but more of the same. The game modes are exactly the same, with way simpler menus. Even with the excellent experience of driving a (now hybrid) rally car, the edition's biggest flaw is not trying to even shake its basic structure a little bit.
