If Hearts of Stone was an uncomfortable, dark, challenging and powerful crescendo, Blood and Wine takes up the feeling of comfort and beauty of high fantasy, transporting us to a world that, however, is as corrupted as ours. The saga that showed that another fantasy was possible in video games concludes on an elegant and comfortable note. CD Projekt RED returns to the noble tradition of expansions: more than DLC, Blood and Wine is a complete game. You can't go wrong with The Witcher 3; while we wait for the next step, it only remains to say: something ends, something begins.

8.6 / 10.0 - Dark Souls III
Apr 4, 2016

Demon's Souls had the spirit, Dark Souls had the lore, Dark Souls II the difficulty, Bloodborne the combat ... Dark Souls III is a bit of a mix of everything but a little less strong and shocking than its predecessors. It's a high-quality game and an ending worthy of a trilogy and even a pentalogy. But it doesn't make you feel bad that From Software stopped, which is a bit sad. I feel that From Software must have other sights. The era of great linear adventures has passed, and the open worlds cry out for good mechanics and combat. Time to do something else. Dark Souls III is the end of an era but it is also the opportunity for the virtues that From Software has cultivated in the dungeon crawler from King's Field to transcend into more ambitious genres. As for Dark Souls III, it is a necessary ending. Ash to ashes, dust to dust.

10 / 10.0 - Mushihimesama
Nov 9, 2015

In short, a title only surpassed by its sequel, ‎‎Futari‎‎, but, at the heights in which these titles compete, the advantage is already a matter of infinitesimal calculation. Because for the player who has finished this game in its Ultra mode, video games as such (at least in their single-player aspect) already have very little to offer. In short, the closest thing to perfection in electronic entertainment: in this case, the recommendation comes out surplus.‎

Hearts of Stone is an extremely interesting expansion for The Witcher 3, faithful in tone and development to the saga but that is much more than "stoic hero faces a world in which humans are more monsters than the monsters whose heads ask for." Therefore, it represents fresh air for this saga that is about to reach its end, which we want to be spectacular. In summary, whoever buys this DLC will not regret anything, neither in content nor in quality. Now, to wait for our last wish.

8.2 / 10.0 - Undertale
Sep 24, 2015

The highest praise I can give to Undertale is to warn the player that he will not be the same before and after finishing it: too many decisions, too many memories and too many feels await. Will you seek to forgive the proud Amazon who pursued you with her spear as her attacks lose strength before your eyes and her terrifying agony begins? Will you betray your maternal protector to go out into the world and discover the truth? Are you willing to confront the coolest skeleton you've ever seen? Will you confess to that poor fellow who helps you along the way that you have unknowingly killed the love of her life? Dozens of decisions like these (or different, because every Undertale game is different) will be presented to you before you get to the moment of truth. Will you accept the challenge? I do, and I don't regret it.

Super Mario Maker is not the ultimate platform game tool (that would be learning real code) but it is the best platform game creator commercially available to all audiences. It's also an excellent anthology of Mario levels, with endless potential for growth and expansion.

Wild Hunt is a game of small details: the sensation of saving someone's brother from death and watching him work the fields long afterwards; converse with the Bloody Baron at dawn in the flower garden that his wife cared for, trying to reunite his family despite his failures; sail into the twilight of the frozen north; lose yourself gathering herbs and flowers to make a potion; enter a hidden portal in a rural witch's hut to travel to a magical garden where the beautiful Keira Metz takes her bath; Fight with bears or follow the trail of treasure in the middle of the night. All of that is miraculous and magical, the essence of role-playing and its power to tell stories and feel them as our own. This game has the dignity and beauty of all great farewells, a fortunate and nostalgic evocation, like a tale that is fondly remembered.

8.7 / 10.0 - Bloodborne
Mar 24, 2015

Bloodborne is a solid quality dungeon crawler, with an interesting and novel combat proposal that, at times, manages to capture the visceral satisfaction that characterizes hard gaming. The presence of technical problems, lack of variety and a bit of haste in its content prevent it from achieving excellence, but it is definitely a quality proposition that PlayStation 4 players should not miss. Let's hope the evolution of From Software doesn't stop at this point, and that future installments will refine and give more new blood to the venerable tradition of this genre.

9.6 / 10.0 - Bayonetta 2
Oct 23, 2014

‎ It's a gem skillfully created by a master nostalgic for the golden age of video games who knows that banality and bad taste sometimes touch the exquisite, a lover of luxury, eccentricity, ornament and baroque: the glorious return of a wild muse.‎

7.8 / 10.0 - The Evil Within
Oct 17, 2014

‎The Evil Within is, deep down, the work of an old industry master who has achieved a high skill in his art, but who cannot surprise us and catch us like his previous works. It's a cleanly executed game that will certainly give nightmare moments to those who aren't used to the countless series of stereotypes that make up it, but that doesn't bring something really new or memorable to survival horror veterans.‎

8.7 / 10.0 - Shovel Knight
Jun 26, 2014

Shovel Knight is a work of true enthusiasm, dedication and love of detail that will satisfy not only those who have not tried a challenging and well-made old-school platformer for a while, but those who have been disappointed by the proliferation of soulless indies. late. Shovel Knight is an old warrior who keeps the ancient gaming traditions intact despite the times and changes, good or bad. It is true that it lacks a bit more to be truly extraordinary, perhaps it is too married to its archaic traditions and its armor is not as brilliant as it could be, but it is one of the best indie releases of this year, without a doubt. Recommended.
