If you’re a fan of survival games, no matter if hardcore or casual, then Green Hell will surely provide you with a gaming experience like no other. Despite a few minor complaints, Green Hell is tense, gorgeous, immersive, and even terrifying at times. This game ticks all the right boxes for me, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone who is a fan of survival games. I absolutely loved playing through the story mode and unravelling its mystery, and I can’t wait for the Spirits of Amazonia expansion to be fully released, so that I can dive into that.
At the end of the day, there really isn’t much that Disjunction does that well, but it also isn’t terrible in any field by any stretch of the imagination. In other words, I can’t necessarily say that I thoroughly enjoyed it, but I also didn’t dislike it. This is one of those polarizing games from what I’ve seen, where some people seem to thoroughly enjoy it, while others, like myself, are indifferent to it. Don’t get me wrong, Disjunction is a decent enough game for what it is, but it doesn’t break any new ground nor does anything exciting or riveting. After the 9 hours that it took me to beat the game, I can safely say that it felt like the game outstayed its welcome. Unless you’re a hardcore fan of stealth games who wants to play every single game out there, you’re probably better off waiting for a sale if you happen to have any interest in it.
Heaven’s Vault is one of a kind. It’s one of the most intriguing and captivating narrative-driven video games that I’ve ever had the chance to play. The beauty of Heaven’s Vault is the fact that there isn’t a right or wrong way to play it. Most often than not, you can reach the same place through different means and by interacting with people in distinct ways. The fact that the narrative adapts seamlessly to your choices makes the whole experience feel so much more dynamic. Despite its shortcomings, I’m pretty sure that Heaven’s Vault will be one of those games which I’ll forever remember. It isn’t perfect, but it sure as hell is one of the best gaming experiences that I’ve ever had. If you don’t mind reading, I wholeheartedly recommend to any fans of narrative-driven adventure games.
Overall, REKT! High Octane Stuns is a decent game, which, for the price, might be worth checking out if it sounds like it’s your thing. Nonetheless, I honestly don’t think that you’ll miss much if you decide to skip it. If you’re on the fence, you can always download and check out the demo on Steam.
