I fear that a smaller, simpler game such as this might get overlooked in the blockbuster-world of console gaming. Being priced very reasonably for what you get, Unmechanical: Extended is definitely worth the investment. I had fun playing it, and hope for more to come. My only request for any future instalments that may be planned would be for somebody to please turn on the frickin' lights…
Would a game like this ultimately steal months of my life, like some bigger titles? No. But it is super fun to play as the casual – yet deep – game that it is.
There is a Challenge mode, in which you can try a timed-playthrough of a level and try to get onto the Leaderboards, which adds a bit of extended "fun" (or stress, in my view) to the original, Adventure mode. But overall, like my cat and his laser pointer, the novelty of Scram Kitty DX will eventually wear off and you will walk away.
While the basic gameplay mechanic gets it right, the lackluster story and cement-headed AI keep this title from greatness. If you are looking to try something different, Sniper Elite III Ultimate Edition is definitely worth a shot (sorry, couldn't resist).
The more you play it, the less you will care how far you get; you will come back again and again just for the simple pleasure of playing it. But be careful – that 30 minutes you think you have spent will likely turn out to be more like 2 hours when you check the clock.
Play it for a while, die many times, put down your controller, scream into a pillow, and go watch cat videos. And then, when you have calmed down, come back to play it again. If you stick with it, Tower of Guns will give you exactly what it promises – a few hours of insane, mostly fun, run-and-gun action.
Farming Simulator 2015 just does not offer enough to make it worth playing instead of all the great games we have available today. If you want to relax while playing videogames, there are way better games to do that – Flower and Journey come to mind as good examples.
The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited, despite its small issues, is an excellent game and easily an essential title for any PS4 and Xbox One owner. In the name of The Nine, I urge you to add this to your collection – or face Tiber Septim's wrath!
Planetside 2 gives you a massive and fun online shooting experience, and it's completely free. Yes, there are microtransactions, but they are very unobtrusive and do not give nearly enough of an advantage to be labelled "pay to win."
I would always give this game high marks, no matter how many times they re-released it. But while it was, and remains, a great and classic game in its own right, unless you have somehow never played it before, you should give this Remastered version a pass. Instead, wait for a bonafide new instalment of the series, if and when another one is made in the future.
While it may not be perfect, and it still has some kinks to iron out, NHL 16 is the comeback the series needed, and it is a great title for those looking to jump back into the action.
Minecraft: Story Mode has a lot of positives that make it worth playing – it is gorgeous to look at, and will be a cool experience for any Minecraft fan in particular, as it pays loving homage to its source-material.
The Bottom Line is that WWE 2K16 gives the fans what they wanted – the full suite of Creation modes, a more robust My Career mode, and the biggest roster ever. This is now a huge, deep game that will satisfy the most-demanding WWE fans, and it makes WWE 2K15 look like a Demo.
No, it's not a bull's eye by any means, but Hard West will certainly hit close enough to provide you with hours of Wild-West fun.
There are also some compelling and impactful moments in Orsinium that make this one of the better Elder Scrolls quests I have played.
Turok Remastered plays to all the worst addictive aspects of the FPS genre, keeping you running for that carrot on the stick, and fiending for the rush of a new upgrade.
I know I personally would have paid a few dollars just to get Piper in the game. But the Pack also includes a number of other Legends as well.
Put it all together, and the easy and fun game you started to play soon becomes a pretty stressful rock-paper-scissors cycle that really demands your attention.
If you are a fan of scary games, and you are still sad about P.T., this game is a must buy…
Once you truly get into the experience of playing this game, you will be astounded by just how much content there is packed into its unassuming exterior.
