‎Aztech Forgotten Gods‎‎ is a short game, but very solid and entertaining. Overall, it's a great achievement as a concept and a good job by a Mexican studio. There is nothing like it and that is to be recognized. I highly recommend it for those who enjoy action games and have little tolerance for frustration : there's nothing particularly challenging outside of figuring out boss weaknesses. In short, ‎‎Aztech Forgotten Gods‎‎ is good evidence of the potential of Latin American studies, a metaphor for the prosperous future that opens before our eyes as we fly through the fictional Tenochtitlan alongside Achtli.‎

7.5 / 10.0 - Chocobo GP
Mar 8, 2022

Chocobo GP is a title that will be very dependent on an online ecosystem and, therefore, is incomplete at the time of writing. We will have to see how it evolves and how it transforms, however, as far as the base game that was possible to try is concerned, Chocobo GP is only an entertaining title and to pass the time.

Final Fantasy VI Pixel Remaster is an inconsistent work. Graphically, it has some nice effects, but also some ugly elements, the most obvious one is the typography. It is a remake that removes important things from the original game and adopts unnecessary new features. It's not the best version of the game, but it's not the worst either.

Life is Strange: Remastered Collection maintains the original aesthetics of the original games while making some welcome, if somewhat conservative, improvements. Visually and content-wise, this is the best version of both games, although it should be mentioned that the visual improvements are not homogeneous. That said, it is a great recommendation for those who want to revisit these games, those who want to get the most complete edition of them, but above all, those who missed them the first time around.

8.8 / 10.0 - Sifu
Feb 6, 2022

Sifu is a great beat em' up game that discourages mashing buttons. The combat system stands out as a mix between the Batman: Arkham series and Sekiro, with a heavy emphasis on precision. It is a demanding game that penalizes mistakes and rewards skill.

GRAND CROSS ReNOVATION is a spiritual sequel to GrandCross, a vertical Shmup of Dazemon 2 for the Sega Saturn. It is a Bullet Hell or Danmaku with several additions that distinguish it from the rest, making it great for newcomers or veterans of the genre.

It is worth putting yourself in Alex Chen's shoes, daring to confront our emotions and, more importantly, helping those who matter to us to assimilate those colors that surround them avoiding red.

Mario Party Superstars is a clear example that you don't have to repair something that is not broken. Its a trip back to the Nintendo 64 era and the early years of the GameCube, that is, the time when Mario Party was most relevant.

‎Not a bad title. It is a very entertaining movie and you can see the effort behind its development, because despite its weaknesses it manages to be interesting. The close-ups of the faces of the characters and their animations are a sweet to the pupil, the performances are remarkable and it is respectful of the suspension of the disbelief it presents. The particular thing about ‎‎House of Ashes‎‎ is that its strengths are very high but its low points are too noticeable. If anyone is a fan of cinematic experiences this is a game worth trying. The solid parts of his speech, the world in which he takes place and his dialogues are rewarding, however he could have done more to be memorable. As a work, he is just like King Naram-Sim: buried by the weight of his ambition in those Sumerian ruins.‎

‎Although Sonic in 3D is still problematic at the design level and SEGA still does not hit the nail on the head, ‎‎Colors ‎‎turned the steering wheel in a suitable direction to deliver a game that works quite well, a title that understands what speed meant for Sonic 2D games: it is not about going faster by pressing something, but by knowing how to play and knowing how to do it fast. ‎‎Colors‎‎ is not perfect and may, due to its peculiarities, Sonic in 3D never be, however, it is a solid proposal that fulfills the most important thing for any Sonic game: to allow us to live the experience of escaping our limits.‎

8.2 / 10.0 - Tormented Souls
Aug 31, 2021

Tormented Souls is a great tribute to the old school survival horror genre. The Chilean studio, Dual Effect Games, demonstrates great mastery and knowledge of the elements that made horror games great back in the day. Although graphically it is not very impressive and the presentation is kind of cheesy, the setting, the atmosphere and the monsters are so well designed that the resulting experience is particularly immersive. Tormented Souls strengths definitely outweigh its weaknesses. If you are looking for a typical horror experience from the late 90s and early 2000s, Tormented Souls is a must.

‎Ace Attorney Chronicles‎‎ is a journey back in time, a lovely example of what happens when you sink into the pages of classics like ‎‎Oliver Twist‎‎ and explore a place and a time you don't know, but with the humor and color typical of anime. The case that comes to mind is ‎‎Samurai Champloo‎‎, set during the shogunate and with many examples of what was lived in Feudal Japan, but without seeking to be a kind of history in shape. ‎‎The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles‎‎ is to be one day in a courthouse in Japan and then in London, with the intensity of the trials, the satisfaction of finding the contradictions in the testimonies, watching the scales of the jury tip in your favor, dancing for the deductions and the reward of shouting objection!‎

8.2 / 10.0 - Legend of Mana
Jul 2, 2021

‎Is Legend ‎‎of Mana‎‎worth it ? This is an answer that varies depending on what each player is looking for. If you want to try something different and taste it accompanied by the great work that M2 did, this is definitely a dish for you. If, on the other hand, you are looking for a more "conventional" adventure, you'd better let the world of Fa'Diel remain in its lethargy.‎

‎If you're a fan of ‎‎Alex Kidd,‎‎the 80s or if you're curious to try an experience like those of 35 years ago, you'll be delighted to know that the game is now available for Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC and that it recovers all the elements of the original game but now in 16:9. On the other hand, if you don't like to submit to games where trial and error are the norm, you can always pay tribute to the franchise by playing something simpler, a classic stone, paper or scissors.‎

‎Wonder Boy: Asha in Monster Worl‎‎d seemed to me to be a pretty solid game, and a pretty faithful remake. The fact that he's so conservative with the source work is something I quite appreciate, mainly because playing Monster World IV officially on this side of the pond hadn't been easy, though perhaps some additional content would have been good for him. With moderate difficulty, which varies depending on how much you prepare, a striking appearance, and a design that reflects the heart artdink put into the work, it's a pretty unique experience and I hope it finds its place among new and old. If you're a fan of ‎‎Wonder Boy/Monster World,‎‎or if you're a fan of action-adventure games in general, this is a game you shouldn't miss.‎
