This game is nice but way too short. It's is fun but too few minigames. It looks like a lot but actually, it is not.

9 / 10.0 - Lost in Random
Sep 10, 2021

Lost in Random is clearly a Zoink! game, though you can't compare it to other games from the studio. The game has its own style and gameplay and both of them are truly wonderful. If you like card games, dice games, or are simply addicted to adventuring this is the game for you. The game feels like a Tim Burton movie. Funny, but creepy and stylish at the same time. Lost in Random is truly compelling with an original story and once you start, you can't stop playing!

Life is Strange: True Colors is another good installment in the series. However, there are some flaws. The setting is far too small and you will find yourself visiting the same locations time after time. Next to that, there are some flaws in the story. Although the writing is good, the game loses focus once in a while and lets you LARP instead of looking for clues. Overall it's just a good popcorn game, but not more than that.

5 / 10.0 - Risk System
Aug 7, 2021

Risk System is a shmup that tries to be original but does that in a bad way. The shooting is automatic which eliminates 90 percent of the fun instantly. Besides this, you only need to evade enemies. The difficulty is very high, but the game never challenges you to try again. There are a few special attacks that make things better but still it is not really fun to play. Also, the game lacks a co-op mode which means you have to go through this all by yourself. Let's just say there are way better shmups.

Famicom Detective Club bundles two games for 60 euros. The fact that these are old games meant only for the Asian market is clearly visible. The dialogues are in Japanese and the games are clearly polished in various aspects. Still, if you like a good story or two and feel the connection with your inner detective (and have a lot of time on your hands) these games scream for you. The writing of Metroid creator Yoshio Sakamoto only justifies the price even more!

Capcom Arcade Stadium is a really cool collection of games from the past. All of the games can be played together with friends. There really is only one downside and that's the fact you can't play together online.

Yakuza Like a Dragon is a must-play for fans of the first hour. Side missions complement the main story in a major way thanks to the utter insanity of some of the stories. You'll need to have some patience though for some of the other mechanics in the game, which is disappointing.

Nickelodeon Kart Racers 2 brings a fresh new wind to karting. The game lets you play as your favorite cartoon characters like The Turtles, Ren and Stimpy, and SpongeBob. The racing part of the game is great. You can shoot other drivers with power-ups and protect yourself with them. Besides racing, you can play different modes like the Arena battle, which makes this a complete game for a lot less than the average karting game.

9 Monkeys of Shaolin is a pleasant surprise in a year full of beat 'em ups. This is not just another brawler, but one with an extensive skill tree, different fighting styles, and a lot of fun gameplay. The game is playable in offline or online co-op and in both styles the game works flawlessly. There are a few bugs here and there, but nothing worth mentioning. If you like to fight, buy this game.

2 / 10.0 - Tamarin
Sep 22, 2020

Tamarin had one thing going for it: the main character is a very cute monkey. Unfortunately, this is literally the only thing that is good in the game. The game lets you walk around with weapons, shooting all kinds of enemies, but there is no real entertainment. The game becomes boring really quickly and doesn't really know where to take you. 40 euros for this game is simply too much.

8 / 10.0 - The TakeOver
Jun 15, 2020

The TakeOver gets its inspiration from the grandmaster Streets of Rage, and does this well. The fighting is smooth and there are a lot of options to make combos. Next to that the game has a few original features like guns that add to the variation. Despite the lack of an online co-op mode this is a game you simply have to play. It is allmost unbelievable all this came from the brain of one man!

7 / 10.0 - AO Tennis 2
Jan 19, 2020

AO Tennis is simply the best tennisgame we have seen in years. Although it looks nog that great, it offers a very solid gameplay and challenges. The game does not feel like an arcadegame, but challenges you with a strong AI. If only all the players were there.

It might take a while to find your footing with Blacksad, but that's okay. The characters are charming and the story is interesting as well. Unfortunately the game doesn't control that well and the graphics are disappointing as well.

While the game doesn't control that great it does have a unique and interesting story. The path is filled with challenges which will keep you busy for a good while. These challenges are fun to overcome but don't line up with the target audience which is a shame.

Asterix & Obelix XXL 3 is a whole lot better than the remake of the second part. The game looks great and offers tons of romans willing to take a beating. The puzzles are entertaining and keep getting more difficult to challenge you. It is still not in the ballpark of where the SNES games were, but this is a fun game to enjoy together in coop!

With a fun story mode and a ton of minigames there is a lot to love about Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokio 2020. The game is full of fun facts about the event and history that keep you learning as you play. The map could be better and there maybe is too much reading involved, but that doesn't take away from the game in any big way.

Scrat's Nutty Adventure finally gives Scrat his own game. The rodent runs around and collects tons of acorns. But the acorns don't affect the game at all. Next to that the game is way too simple, even for the younger gamers. It primarily focuses on the small starting gamer. Still, Scrat is a hilarious animal that makes you laugh.

7.5 / 10.0 - Luigi's Mansion 3
Oct 28, 2019

Luigi's Mansion 3 treats the player to a meaty singleplayer adventure, with beautiful environments, a plethora of different enemies and cool puzzles. Afterwards you can even play the game with friends. The fun does get spoiled a bit by a less than ideal camera and clunky controls however. Still, it's a game that can be enjoyed by young and old alike!

If you are looking for a magical co-op puzzlegame, then this is the game for you. This is the most beautiful and the longest entry in the series yet. There are new skills and lots of puzzels to enjoy. Whilst the battles are not so impressive, this is still a game you must have played!

If you've played other entries in the series and just want to experience some cool lore about the world, Yakuza 3 Remaster is the game for you. It's a game all about fanservice, but also the one you can skip if you don't want to retreat familiar waters. If you're new to the series though, this one might not be for you.
