5.5 / 10.0 - Highguard
Feb 2, 2026

A free shooter that doesn't make the most of its best ideas: the potential is there, but at the moment it suffers from balance, performance, and repetitiveness issues.

The biggest Black Ops ever: packed with content and fun, but with a weak campaign and a few aspects that need refinement.

7.5 / 10.0 - Silent Hill f
Sep 22, 2025

Silent Hill f is a compelling yet flawed return for Konami's iconic horror series: narratively strong and visually striking, it immerses players in a haunting psychological nightmare set in the eerie Japanese town of Ebisugaoka. Hinako's touching and unsettling story is the highlight, but the experience is held back by basic combat, limited enemy types, and a design that requires multiple playthroughs to fully understand the plot without enough gameplay variety. Despite interesting ideas and solid presentation, the game loses momentum over time, feeling repetitive and lessening its emotional impact.

A careful but not overly courageous remake of a masterpiece that everyone should play: a little old in its structure, but brilliant and contemporary in other aspects.

7.5 / 10.0 - Rematch
Jul 1, 2025

Rematch brings a bold twist to a genre that's been playing it safe for too long, offering a fast, stylish, and skill-driven take on football. Its gameplay is both accessible and surprisingly deep, turning every match into a highlight reel. Still, technical hiccups, balancing issues, and missing features like crossplay and offline modes keep it from reaching its full potential. Sloclap has built something great, and with the right support, Rematch could grow into a true standout in the genre.

Lies of P: Overture is a strong and rewarding expansion that builds on the base game with memorable bosses, new gear, and a darker, emotional storyline that acts as both prequel and epilogue. While some issues remain - like uneven level design and occasional camera hiccups - the excellent combat additions, quality of life improvements, and high narrative quality make it a must-play for fans, offering 15 hours of rich, atmospheric content.

8.5 / 10.0 - Mario Kart World
Jun 10, 2025

Mario Kart World is the most ambitious entry in the series so far, introducing fresh ideas like the standout Survival mode alongside its familiar, enjoyable gameplay. The concept of an interconnected world is a bold move that opens up new exploration opportunities, although the open world itself feels somewhat empty and some features seem a bit undercooked. Despite these flaws, the game delivers a solid and engaging experience that can provide countless hours of fun, especially with friends. It's not quite the ultimate Mario Kart yet, but it's a significant step in that direction.

Heavily inspired by Demon's Souls and Nioh, The First Berserker: Khazan may lack depth in its narrative and feel somewhat uninspired in terms of level design, but it still leaves a mark thanks to its great combat system and some fantastic boss fights. Despite a few excessive difficulty spikes, it remains enjoyable for the most part.

Despite its attempts at innovation, Assassin's Creed Shadows ultimately feels quite familiar in too many ways. The story, while somewhat fragmented, remains enjoyable for most of its duration, thanks to the well-developed protagonists and a good supporting cast. The gameplay introduces some interesting ideas, but the repetitive nature of certain tasks and the outdated AI prevent the new mechanics from reaching their full potential. Nonetheless, players who are drawn to the Japanese setting and fans of the typical Ubisoft's open-world adventures will probably enjoy the game without too many compromises.

8.5 / 10.0 - Stellar Blade
Apr 24, 2024

Stellar Blade is a good game, plain and simple. It feels like so much love and passion has been poured into it, and even if the story doesn't quite reach the heights of NieR Automata and the like, Eve's tale kept me interested until the credits rolled, and made me eager for more. There are some minor issues, and I would have loved to see a little more environment variety, but snappy combat, terrific music and visuals, and a world almost as enchanting as her protagonist make Stellar Blade very easy to recommend.

7.5 / 10.0 - Rise of the Ronin
Mar 21, 2024

Rise of the Ronin fails to impress through its open-world sandbox or graphical fidelity, but it can still provide dozens of hours of fun thanks to a great combat system, an impressive amount of content, and an interesting story.

Granblue Fantasy: Relink is a much less ambitious game than it seems, but its simplicity shouldn't necessarily be considered as a flaw. Cygames' latest work is fun and well polished, and it has an exciting combat system, great art and music. Unfortunately, the story falls short, and after reaching the endgame it devolves in a repetitive cycle of 80 or so hours of mindless fighting, without any real challenge or new ideas to keep things fresh.

Persona 5 Tactica is the first game in the Persona 5 sub-series to make me wonder if we really needed to see the Phantom Thieves again. It's never bad, but it does feel pointless most of the times. The new story is just "more of the same" without any real twists, and the combat system, although pretty fun, lacks depth and isn't particularly challenging. Still, it menages to entertain for most of it's 30 hours duration.

8.4 / 10.0 - Lies of P
Sep 13, 2023

Lies of P is one of the biggest surprises of 2023. Moody, gothic, bloody, and fast-paced, Neowiz first action RPG is a little gem, and even if it's not on par with FromSoftware best works, it's still one of the best soulslike games of the last few years. "Pinocchio meets Bloodborne" is a concept about as weird as it's compelling, and luckily Neowiz delivered with an interesting story, smooth combat and terrific musics. It's a little unpolished around the edges, and it lacks optional bosses and secret areas, but it's still a strong starting point for a new series.
