An interesting platform game, but somewhat outdated on a visual and playable level

A visually groundbreaking narrative adventure, but with gameplay that is too basic and not very varied

It's hard not to get carried away by nostalgia, especially if you've played the original game, so we're not too impartial when we tell you that this remake of System Shock is a game worth playing. The additions are very interesting and allow the level of difficulty to be adjusted to all types of player profiles to make it attractive to new generations. If you have not played the original, it is a good time to approach this game and discover one of the precursors to great games like Dead Space or Bioshock.

A graphic adventure with a story that will touch your soul and make you reflect on very deep and interesting topics

This new Bandai Namco title has left us with mixed feelings. On the one hand we find very fun concepts such as the use of vehicles and their more than interesting customization, but on the other hand we see a development that is too classic and not very innovative in its open world. Despite these chiaroscuros, we can recommend this game if you are a fan of Toriyama's comics and want to be able to interact for about 30 hours (more if you want to explore the entire map) with its post-apocalyptic world and its quite charismatic characters. If, on the other hand, you are bored of open world games in which hundreds of points appear in which to repeat the same actions over and over again, perhaps you are not going to enjoy this game much.

While waiting to receive that long-awaited incursion by Ubisoft into Japan with its Assassin's saga, we can affirm that Rise of the Ronin is the best experience to date of an open world set in the land of the Rising Sun. If you are a fan of games of this style, do not hesitate to approach this new Team Ninja title because you will really enjoy its combat mechanics and the exploration of its spectacularly set world with a duration of between 50-60 hours. You won't find anything revolutionary, but everything it does is done very well regardless of its somewhat outdated graphical appearance for the current generation of consoles.

Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden is destined to be one of the games of the year. It may go unnoticed among the mountain of releases that still await us in 2024, but it is still a truly interesting option for lovers of single-player games with an absorbing story. A great job by DON'T NOD who, using the base of Vampyr, the narrative of Life is strange and many ideas, especially from God Of War, have managed to create a game that shines with its own light. Hopefully sales will be good and we can have a sequel to this new IP in the future.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is a mix game, with a frenetic and fun playable proposal, but with certain technical shortcomings due to its hybrid design between an MMO and an open-world RPG. Its story, despite not being too complex, allows the player to grow fond of each of these criminals with double intentions thanks to brilliantly written dialogues. It is a title that takes a certain amount of time to make you fall in love with it (we particularly liked it) and even then it is possible that you end up abandoning it... We fear that there is not going to be a middle ground and the criticisms abound much more than the applause.

Lysfanga: The time shift warrior is very fun. The combat mechanics are very original and very well implemented, making it very easy for the player to start experimenting with strategies to kill all the enemies in a limited time. If you like hack'n'slash, but you were missing a certain strategic component, this is going to be the game that will entertain and challenge you for a few hours.

Laika: Aged through blood is one of the most interesting metroidvania in recent years. The combat mechanics with the motorcycle are truly original and, although complicated to handle at first, very satisfying for the player. Special mention to the artistic design and the settings that will dazzle more than one when they take control of the game. If you are a metroidvania fan, do not hesitate to get this game and if you are not and you like challenging games you will also enjoy it a lot.

Ichiban has returned with a bang in one of the best Yakuza saga titles ever made. The charisma of all the characters and the almost absurd variety of missions, activities and mini-games make it a sink of hours at the controls that are impossible to resist. Of course, if you have not played any Yakuza before or the previous Like a dragon it may not be a game for you and you should decide to start with the recent Like a dragon gaiden or with the first Like a dragon starring Ichiban.

Born Of Bread is a tribute to classic RPGs that those who have enjoyed titles like Paper Mario or Undertale will love. The story covers important themes ranging from the growth of the characters to the meaning of family unity, always seasoned with a lot of humor and surrealism. If you are a lover of turn-based RPGs, do not hesitate to approach this title because it will give you everything you need.

The Kindeman Remedy is a truly addictive game despite its apparent simplicity. It is very normal to start a game and for time to pass very quickly, since you will find yourself involved in a dynamic that will not leave you many moments of respite. If we add to that the macabre humor that it exudes in abundance, we find a very interesting proposal for all those players who enjoy simulation games, but this time with a much more adult tone.

American Arcadia is a surprising proposal that all adventure lovers will especially like and who of course enjoyed Call Of The Sea. The mix of a platform game with a first-person graphic adventure works like a charm, thanks above all to some puzzles that, without being very challenging, will keep you looking for a solution for a while. In addition, the narrative and character construction shines with its own light and makes the immersion in the game even more pronounced. It seems that Out Of The Blue Games continues to evolve to improve its formula that both audiences and critics already liked in Call Of The Sea.

It is clear that this Like A Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name! It is a minor title within the Yakuza saga, but it is still very fun and full of content as is usual in RGG Studio titles. It can be a good entry point to the saga due to its noticeably shorter duration than usual and its much smaller scale than previous games. And to the fan of the saga there is no need to even recommend it because they will almost certainly play it and devour it.

If you are a lover of graphic adventures and of course the great Agatha Christie, this is a title that you should not miss. The adaptation to our times and the additions to the original story are really interesting and bring a fresh air to the game. However, if you are a fan of action games, perhaps it is not the time to join the saga yet and wait for a next evolution with some new, more challenging mechanics.

It is highly recommended that you play Phantom Liberty whether you are a fan of the base game or if you have not even approached the universe of Cyberpunk 2077. The evolution of the game is so great that we are facing possibly the best RPG of recent years, although it will possibly be remembered more because of its resounding launch on the market than because of the immense work that has been done to give players what the developers wanted to give from the beginning. CD Projekt Red has put a lot of heart into this.

Starfield is a set of lights and shadows that may fascinate you if you like to build your own adventure. Bethesda has chosen to be very conservative in its design and the game has fallen far short of all those promises that were made during its development. Does that mean it's a bad game? Absolutely not. If you liked Skyrim, Fallout 4 or The Outer Worlds, you are going to really enjoy this new space exploration adventure and you are surely going to spend many hours taking advantage of all the possibilities it offers us.

If there is one thing that is clear to us after playing with Immortals of Aveum, it is that we are facing one of this year's GOTY candidates. Although it is not a perfect game, it is extremely fun thanks to its combat system and the development of the story and characters. We definitely recommend it to all lovers of single-player adventures because they will enjoy it enormously.

Atlas Fallen is a more than pleasant surprise and one of the RPGs to take into account this year. With an average duration of 15-20 hours in its main story, it offers us a wide variety of environments and enemies with a very successful setting. Although the visual aspect is not AAA, it is more than enough to offer us a most enjoyable experience during the course of our adventure. We recommend it to all those action RPG fans who have been orphaned after finishing Final Fantasy XVI and want to enjoy a more modest adventure, but with an interesting story.
