Episode Aigis - The Answer wonderfully expands the story of Persona 3 Reload, offers the usual fun fights, superb soundtrack and serves as a great, very emotional epilogue, but suffers from the same old dungeons and little aside from a lengthy combat-loop.

8 / 10.0 - Iron Meat
Sep 16, 2024

Iron Meat is like a fresh breeze of Contra nostalgia. It has pixel-nostalgia, comes with a great guitar-heavy soundtrack and has some really nice meaty designs. Unfortunately, at one to two hours, it's a very short game, but, especially in co-op, it invites you to play a short round again and again.

7.5 / 10.0 - NBA 2K25
Sep 12, 2024

NBA 2K25 improves on many gameplay points and offers a variety of modes that should have something for everyone. It looks great graphically and plays well as usual, but still has an unpleasant focus on microtransactions, which constantly pops up in your face and stagnates somewhat in terms of new features.

9.2 / 10.0 - Astro Bot
Sep 9, 2024

Astro Bot is a dream for platformer fans and should be played by anyone with a PS5. It won't convert dislikers of the genre, but it does everything right, is incredibly fun, looks great and couldn't celebrate 30 years of PlayStation any better

The Casting of Frank Stone doesn't really deviate from well-known Supermassive titles, but offers an interesting setting with the established world of Dead by Daylight. The visuals and sound design are really great and the story also manages to maintain the tension, but unfortunately ends a little too soon. If you can overlook the very simple puzzles and a few clichés, you'll have some very entertaining evenings here, whether alone or in co-op.

6.9 / 10.0 - Concord
Aug 29, 2024

Concord is an honest shooter that really does a lot right during gameplay. The weapons feel good, everything looks nice and there's plenty of content and no microtransactions. Unfortunately, the game is already under a bad star. There is a lack of identity, originality and, based on current figures, a lack of players very soon. Let's hope for the best, because Concord really deserves a chance.

8.6 / 10.0 - Star Wars Outlaws
Aug 26, 2024

Star Wars Outlaws departs somewhat from the typical Ubisoft formula and presents a pleasantly focused open world with a round playtime of 30-40 hours and a large focus on stealth. Not every planet is equally open and large, but each one looks incredibly beautiful and captures the Star Wars atmosphere that fans love so much. The AI and occasional bugs do take you out of the immersion and the story is not outstanding apart from the characters, but we still couldn't get enough of Kay, Nix, ND-5 and the many planets. Just beware of the addictive potential of the card game Sabacc.

7 / 10.0 - Madden NFL 25
Aug 19, 2024

Madden NFL 25 is doing something right this year and has listened to fan feedback. However, as is so often the case, they only listened with one ear and didn't really improve in every corner. This is particularly noticeable in Franchise mode and the mischievous focus on Ultimate Team. On the field, however, many of the changes are quickly noticeable for long-term fans and are welcome, although it has to be said that you get more fun for your money overall with the college version from the same company.

7.7 / 10.0 - Cat Quest III
Aug 6, 2024

Cat Quest III is refreshing fun for maritime cat lovers. It offers fun battles, which are even quite in-depth thanks to the various builds, while the sea battles remain somewhat simpler. The style is cute, the many puns perhaps a little over the top, but what prevails is the innocent joy of exploring all the islands and their loot, solving puzzles and perhaps having someone sitting next to you for local co-op. Not a game revolution, but pawsome for a few evenings.

8.1 / 10.0 - Nobody Wants to Die
Jul 18, 2024

Nobody Wants to Die impresses with a very detailed and atmospheric neo-noir look that shows a dystopian New York of the future. Equipped with all kinds of gadgets, it has never been so appealing to be on the trail of a serial killer. Unfortunately, the gameplay stagnates somewhat, as you have to carry out the same steps over and over again, always looking for the next prompt. But those who are not put off by this will be very well entertained for a few hours.

Trails through Daybreak is the most accessible entry in the Legends of Heroes series and shows that it doesn't have to hide behind genre peers. Fun and varied battles, a well-developed story with an incredibly detailed world and charming characters will not let you go so quickly. If you haven't played Trails before, you should pick it up and not be put off by the many text boxes, the somewhat confusing quartz systems and the somewhat outdated graphics. Off to Calvard!

7.2 / 10.0 - V Rising
Jun 13, 2024

V Rising focuses on building and maintaining your own vampire stronghold, which works really well and is fun with sufficient resources. On the way there, however, there are annoying skill restrictions, even more annoying running around the world and generally a rather average action RPG that can't stand out from the crowd enough with good approaches and should definitely be played with others.

6.5 / 10.0 - Phantom Fury
May 31, 2024

Phantom Fury unfortunately doesn't work as it should. The levels are unimpressive, confusing and packed with an inflationary number of enemies. The weapons are really fun and there are lots of nice little gimmicks and attempts to add some variety to the game, but it remains an average shooter that falls well short of its potential.

May 24, 2024

Read Only Memories: NEURODIVER is an atmospheric and graphically great ride of a visual novel, which is peppered with lots of cool characters and great music. But even if games can be short, the adventure ended quite abruptly here and it almost only felt like a big prologue.

8.2 / 10.0 - Indika
May 16, 2024

Indika is a brutal comedy, arthouse cinema in an alternative Russia and a dark look at religion and what it demands. As a game, it combines adventure, walking simulator and puzzle elements to create a unique gameplay cocktail that is often bizarre. If you want to test the limits of the video game medium, this game is definitely one of them, even if some of the platforming sequences are really annoying.

8.9 / 10.0 - Stellar Blade
May 1, 2024

Stellar Blade is a great action title that offers plenty of content as well as incredibly motivating battles and evolving skills. It looks great, sounds like a cousin of the Nier soundtrack and is also a lot of fun thanks to the constant variety. The only thing you shouldn't expect is a well-developed story with good characters, and the many unlockable outfits are probably intended to distract from that.

7.8 / 10.0 - Sand Land
Apr 24, 2024

Sand Land offers a nicely told story and, with its vehicles and many customization options, a special feature within the anime/manga adaptations. The visuals and Toriyama's charm are evident throughout the game and warm the heart. Unfortunately, the entire background music lags far behind, the battles outside the vehicles are not convincing and some dungeons drag on quite a bit.

8.4 / 10.0 - Harold Halibut
Apr 16, 2024

Harold Halibut is a special video game. Not only the incredibly elaborate style and how it was realized contribute to this, but also the fresh setting filled with lots of love and crazy nonsense. The basic gameplay does lag behind quite a bit, but for an adventure game you can easily cope with that.

Mar 31, 2024

Rise of the Ronin is little new and yet a lot of fun. The battle system from Nioh and Wo Long meets a classic open world, adds a story full of decisions for the duo protagonists and makes it more beginner-friendly overall. If you like the setting and don't expect any major innovations, you'll have an entertaining adventure on the island nation.

8.4 / 10.0 - Dragon's Dogma 2
Mar 26, 2024

Dragon's Dogma 2 is an unparalleled adventure that emphasizes exploration and immersive combat. The many classes keep the battles fresh and the world always offers something new to discover without becoming boring. Nevertheless, the game is very peculiar, has strange design decisions, performance problems and can be very frustrating at times. But if you can cope with this or are a fan of the first part, you will get one of the best open-world experiences in a long time.
