8 / 10.0 - Soulstice
Sep 20, 2022

In conclusion, Soulstice is an inspired, enjoyable video game with an engaging narrative. The Sacred Realm of the Keidas is a wonderful and untamed place, and Ilden is a wonderfully depicted city even in tragedy. With an interesting game design and an engaging combat system, Soulstice proves to be a mature work. A few technical stumbling blocks here and there are worth mentioning, but it is nothing that compromises the actual enjoyability of the experience, which remains well paced and enjoyable throughout.

Despite many good ideas, Aztech Forgotten Gods is a superficial experience lacking real courage, representing a step backwards for Lienzo. The story develops hastily, failing to describe each of the characters featured in the game's plot. The gameplay is too confusing, with not very incisive and unfortunately similar to each other, never really giving the feeling of diversification in the combat system and with unfortunately very similar bosses.

An evolution too timid of the previous game: practically a missed opportunity for Yoko Taro.
