7 / 10.0 - Sands of Salzaar
Aug 28, 2022

Sands of Salzaar is a really good game that will keep you glued to your seat for hours on end. If you’ve played the Mount & Blade series, you’ll really enjoy this title. This indie game from an indie studio offers several playable characters, a vast open world, factions you can conquer, and a compelling story.

7 / 10.0 - Two Point Campus
Aug 9, 2022

Two Point Campus is a really good and fun game that I can highly recommend. The game’s humor won’t offend even older audiences, which is saying something. It’s very accessible and has solid gameplay mechanics when it comes to building and management. If you’ve played Two Point Hospital and enjoyed it, you’re sure to love Two Point Campus as well.

Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong is a rather dull game that fails to surprise in any way. The tediously long dialogues, puzzles, poor graphics, and overall game design will only put you off. The game offers no action, the atmosphere falls flat, and because the characters show zero emotion, everything feels terribly artificial and forced.

7 / 10.0 - Dolmen
Jun 29, 2022

The demo I got to play certainly didn’t reveal all the wonders the developers have in store for us. But I can already say that if you’re a fan of the Souls games, Dolmen is a must-play for you. The combat is intense, and there are several weapons and pieces of equipment available that you can further customize. The Reactor feature adds a unique twist to the game, though it takes some getting used to. We can look forward to the title sometime in 2022, and it’s coming to PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X, and of course PC.

Jurassic World Evolution 2 is a fantastic building game that you’ll never get tired of. What I like most about it is that it’s not designed exclusively for fans of the series, so even players who aren’t familiar with the movies can fully enjoy it.

9 / 10.0 - Kenshi
Jun 7, 2022

Kenshi is a very good sandbox game, but it’s not for everyone. The game is truly challenging, and it will take you dozens of hours to grasp even the basic mechanics. The game’s visuals aren’t particularly impressive, but they aren’t bad either—after all, that’s not what the game is built on. Kenshi offers a wealth of possibilities, and thanks to mods, you can expand its content even further.

6 / 10.0 - Ravenous Devils
Jun 2, 2022

Although Ravenous Devils doesn’t offer much, it’s a pretty good little game. The chemistry between the two characters works well, and you could almost envy the strength of their bond. The graphics aren’t anything to write home about, and the gallons of blood in an already gloomy setting are just the icing on the cake. The biggest problem is the lack of variety. In a relatively short time, you’ve really exhausted all possible customization options, not to mention the repetitiveness.

Evil Dead: The Game doesn’t offer anything new that we haven’t already seen in other games. Still, it’s a lot of fun and will keep you glued to your seat for hours on end. If you’re a fan of the series, it’s practically a must-have. If you’re looking for pure brutality, Evil Dead: The Game will deliver. Currently, there are two maps and ten playable characters for players, along with three different types of enemies. What more can we say? Start up your chainsaw and enjoy the brutal ride.

Zombie Army 4: Dead War performs very well on the Nintendo Switch. If you’re an experienced player on this console, you won’t have any trouble with the controls at first. Graphically, the game looks decent, with the X-ray mode and mild gore adding to the fun. Unfortunately, over time, the gameplay and everything else becomes somewhat monotonous. Still, it’s a very good title that I can recommend to all fans of zombie games.

7 / 10.0 - Uragun
Apr 25, 2022

Considering that Uragun is still in early access, it has a lot to offer. The game is quite challenging, but on the other hand, it lets you develop your own playstyle. You can build a robot to your liking and then explore various locations. Beautiful graphics paired with great background music enhance the action-packed experience this game delivers. And while the price of €14.99 (366 CZK) seems a bit steep at the moment, the game is definitely worth buying.

9 / 10.0 - Muse Dash
Apr 22, 2022

Muse Dash is an excellent rhythm game that will keep you entertained for hours. The catchy songs, the game’s dynamic gameplay, and the anime-style graphics work perfectly together. If you enjoy games like Guitar Hero, Just Dance, Magic Titles, and similar titles, you need to add this game to your collection. Another bonus is that you can also buy it for your mobile phone (Android) for a great price of 80 CZK, though purchasing its DLC isn’t quite as pleasant.

Syberia: The World Before is definitely a fantastic adventure game that will captivate you. A compelling story, beautiful graphics, a wartime atmosphere, and a lovely soundtrack all come together to create a masterpiece. The time-travel mechanics work brilliantly here, and the player never loses track of the story for a moment. Overall, I can say that Kate Walker’s new adventure is definitely worth your time. Most importantly, the developers learned from the mistakes of the third installment and returned to their roots.

THE KING OF FIGHTERS XV is definitely an intriguing fighting game where nothing comes easy. If you’re the type of player who enjoys a good challenge, I highly recommend this title. The visual style, dynamic combat, and fantastic electronic soundtrack give the game a unique charm.

The Legend of Tianding is a true hidden gem among platformers, offering a glimpse into Taiwanese history and culture, stunning visuals, and excellent gameplay with great mechanics. If you’re a fan of 2D action-platformers, this title is practically a must-have for your library.

7 / 10.0 - House Party
Jan 16, 2022

House Party offers several hours of fun, which you can extend by creating your own scenarios. Visually, the game is certainly impressive, but the soundtrack is its weakest link. Fortunately, this isn’t a major issue that detracts from the great fun House Party has to offer.

Second Extinction is a pretty entertaining shooter that will keep you glued to your seat for a few hours. Unfortunately, there are also some aspects that detract from the game’s appeal and may deter potential new players. The price of €24.99 seems quite high to me for a title whose content is currently insufficient, but who knows how the developers will expand it by the time of the full release.

Bright Memory: Infinite doesn't have a particularly strong story, the main character isn't very interesting, and your arch-enemy is more of a token presence. Still, we’re talking about a solid game that, in terms of gameplay, could rival cult classics like Painkiller or DOOM. It’s a brutal, dynamic ride that doesn’t let you catch your breath for a second. On top of that, you’re treated to a great soundtrack and stunning graphics. I definitely hope we’ll see more games from Mr. Zeng in the future.

VenusBlood Frontier International is definitely a great game, and I highly recommend it. The animations, visual design, character backstories, and the various choices you can make all make this a solid title. The only things that might put you off are the confusing tutorial, the unattractive design of the military group menu, or the aforementioned 18+ patch.

6 / 10.0 - Paw Paw Paw
Nov 30, 2021

Overall, Paw Paw Paw is a decent beat ’em up that doesn’t take itself too seriously, and its price is commensurate with the few hours you’ll spend playing it. You’ll often have to replay missions because you’ll run into some damn tough enemies, but the short levels help alleviate that stress. The variety within the levels is also really good, but it would be nice to have more moves available. Unfortunately, everything is let down by the weak AI of your companions and unreliable hit detection.

8 / 10.0 - Gloria Victis
Nov 25, 2021

Gloria Victis is an excellent cooperative game that will keep you tied to your chair for a long time. If you like genres similar to Mount and Blade, Age of Empires and generally like conquering foreign territories or just like being part of something bigger, I definitely recommend this title. If you play with your friends, you'll have even more fun. Graphically, the title doesn't offend in any way, the combat mechanics are a bit harder, but can be learned fairly quickly.
