Dying Light: The Beast is a strong comeback for the series after the disappointment of the second installment. The game offers a short but thrilling story filled with impactful characters, with gameplay that blends action, parkour, and horror, bringing back the terrifying nighttime atmosphere the series is known for. The open world is smaller in scale but carefully designed, rich with details and side quests. The graphics have reached the highest level in the series’ history, despite some technical issues and the absence of ray tracing at launch. It can be said that The Beast represents the most cohesive and satisfying experience for fans of the series since its very beginning.

Cronos: The New Dawn is one of the biggest surprises of 2025. It takes the essence of Dead Space and Resident Evil 4 and adds its own special touch, resulting in a truly unique experience. From its excellent environmental storytelling and terrifying atmosphere to a gameplay style that blends tension with exploration, Bloober Team has succeeded in delivering a project that showcases its remarkable growth as a developer and places it among the ranks of top global studios. Despite some annoying technical issues and the lack of Arabic language support, the overall experience remains impressive and well worth the time of any fan of survival horror games.

Assassin's Creed Shadows feels like another missed opportunity from Ubisoft. It had all the ingredients needed to deliver a masterpiece—deep storytelling, varied gameplay, and the stunning setting of feudal Japan with two protagonists, each offering a unique combat style. Unfortunately, the game falls into the same repeated mistakes that have plagued the Assassin’s Creed series in recent years, leaving the experience dull, repetitive, and lacking in creativity—even in its story, which had the potential to be truly epic.

6 / 10.0 - Avowed
Feb 13, 2025

Despite some positive aspects, Avowed suffers from many flaws that diminish its value and make it an unsatisfying experience—not worth the five-year wait. The game lacks depth in its RPG elements, delivers an unengaging story, and offers gameplay that isn’t compelling enough to make up for these shortcomings. As a result, it’s hard to recommend Avowed at full price. Furthermore, it joins the list of titles negatively impacted by Unreal Engine 5, resulting in a final product that falls far short of expectations. That said, if your gaming options are limited at the moment, you might still find some enjoyment playing it through Xbox Game Pass.

8.5 / 10.0 - Ghostrunner 2
Oct 29, 2023

A great sequel that takes everything the first game offered and adds a set of new mechanics and ideas which elevate the exciting action slasher to a whole new level. The combat and parkour are faster, deadlier, and more violent. And although some of the new mechanics like the motorbike isn't utilized as I would have liked, the overall experience is great for those who fell in love with the first title.
