8 / 10.0 - Borderlands 4
Sep 30, 2025

Borderlands 4 managed to reintroduce a fresh artistic vision and new ideas to the series, and fortunately, most of these ideas were very good and delivered an enjoyable gameplay experience. These new ideas also did not compromise the core traits that define the series, as the game preserved its legacy of chaotic, over-the-top shooting with an enormous variety of weapons. At the same time, however, Borderlands 4 is also a field of technical issues. These problems naturally weakened the experience, but the overall gameplay was still much more enjoyable than the issues were harmful. And despite all these problems, I found myself coming back to play again every day.

8.5 / 10.0 - EA Sports FC 26
Sep 25, 2025

With every annual football release from EA, the same question arises: “Is the game this time just an update of rosters and kits, or does it offer an experience worth the player’s time and money?” In the case of EA Sports FC 26, it can be said that the answer is more balanced. The game hasn’t overturned the foundations of the series nor radically changed the core experience, but it has focused on fixing what annoyed players last year and refining what was already good. So, is FC 26 worth trying? Yes, it definitely is. It may not be a complete revolution that redefines football games, but it’s a confident step forward that makes it better than FC 25 in most important aspects. If you’re a fan of the series, you’ll find yourself with a more polished and mature version, and if you’re thinking of returning after a break, this is a good opportunity to experience one of the most balanced releases in recent years.

9 / 10.0 - Ghost of Yotei
Sep 25, 2025

“Ghost of Yotei” took me back to the golden age of Sony PlayStation exclusives. While it doesn’t bring anything revolutionary, it succeeds in nearly everything it aims for. It delivers an epic story-driven game set in an excellent, beautiful, and captivating open world, with refined gameplay systems and no technical issues. A PS5 exclusive is definitely worth owning.

Dying Light: The Beast is a strong comeback for the series after the disappointment of the second installment. The game offers a short but thrilling story filled with impactful characters, with gameplay that blends action, parkour, and horror, bringing back the terrifying nighttime atmosphere the series is known for. The open world is smaller in scale but carefully designed, rich with details and side quests. The graphics have reached the highest level in the series’ history, despite some technical issues and the absence of ray tracing at launch. It can be said that The Beast represents the most cohesive and satisfying experience for fans of the series since its very beginning.

9 / 10.0 - Silent Hill f
Sep 22, 2025

Although Silent Hill F is not without its flaws, its strengths far outweigh them. As a revival of a series that until recently lay dormant in Konami’s vaults, it has done a commendable job of recapturing the franchise’s roots while introducing entirely new elements. And if you’re a fan of horror games, this enchanting and atmospheric experience is one you shouldn’t miss.

6.5 / 10.0 - Lost Soul Aside
Sep 11, 2025

Lost Soul Aside is the dream project of Chinese developer Yang Bing, who took his first major step into the gaming industry with an ambitious title that opened doors wide. However, the game itself isn’t entirely original, borrowing elements from a wide range of existing titles. Execution suffers from shortcomings in certain areas, yet overall it delivers an enjoyable experience that shows promise for the future. That said, at a full $60 price tag and in a month crowded with major releases, the wiser choice may be to wait for a discount. Lost Soul Aside showcases Bing’s strong talent in crafting combat systems, while also revealing weaknesses in areas like storytelling. I’m genuinely excited to see what he can deliver next once he refines the rest of the experience.

The Indiana Jones: The Order of Giants expansion is priced at $20 and offers a set of puzzles and events lasting only 4 to 5 hours at most. Overall, it lands at the level of “good” rather than “excellent.” While the expansion does provide genuinely fun moments, it loses much of its narrative weight—especially if you’ve already completed the base game. It also lacks any meaningful improvements or adjustments to the original experience. Still, it’s an enjoyable add-on and serves as a great dose of adventure for anyone who misses Indy’s escapades, as well as a solid entry point for completely new players.

Cronos: The New Dawn is one of the biggest surprises of 2025. It takes the essence of Dead Space and Resident Evil 4 and adds its own special touch, resulting in a truly unique experience. From its excellent environmental storytelling and terrifying atmosphere to a gameplay style that blends tension with exploration, Bloober Team has succeeded in delivering a project that showcases its remarkable growth as a developer and places it among the ranks of top global studios. Despite some annoying technical issues and the lack of Arabic language support, the overall experience remains impressive and well worth the time of any fan of survival horror games.

Gears of War Reloaded introduces some noticeable improvements here and there, but in my opinion, they’re not enough—especially if you’ve already played the Ultimate Edition released back in 2015. For longtime fans who have experienced both the original and the remaster, Reloaded won’t offer much that feels new. However, if you’re completely new to the series—say, primarily a PlayStation player—Gears of War Reloaded delivers a significant graphical boost along with an enjoyable gameplay experience.

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater offers an excellent experience that preserves the spirit of the original almost entirely, with a graphical boost that's unmatched. While the game may not offer much new gameplay, it's certainly an excellent remake of one of 2004's best games.

In the end, Mafia: The Old Country feels like a natural continuation of the series—excluding Mafia III. It delivers a linear story, a non-open environment, and limited gameplay options. The experience is closer to Uncharted than GTA, yet at the same time, it’s the least diverse in mission design across the entire franchise. What carries the game is its story and characters, presented as one of the strongest narratives of the year, featuring truly memorable personalities. And if you’re a longtime fan of the series, this title is an easy recommendation.

Wuchang: Fallen Feathers delivers a very enjoyable Souls-like experience, with challenging and relatively fast-paced combat. However, it falls short in terms of originality, borrowing heavily from the most popular ideas in the genre without showing much intent to carve out its own unique identity.

This game reminds me of Stanley Kubrick's films—a hearty cinematic feast, with its own set of difficulties and struggles as you try to understand and comprehend what's going on in the mind of its mad creator—but it's not necessarily "fun."

However, over time, the maps and enemies become repetitive, which detracts from the experience's variety and makes the single-player experience cumbersome and unbalanced. Add to that technical performance issues with a noticeable frame rate drop on PS5, and you've got an experience that needed more polish before launch. However, there's a real chance of improving it with future updates, making it a fresh experience worthy of the ELDEN RING name.

By remaster standards, Onimusha 2: Samurai's Destiny delivers a noticeably solid experience that takes players on a nostalgia-filled journey. However, it’s a game best enjoyed by longtime fans of the series. For newcomers, the remaster of Onimusha 2: Samurai's Destiny may feel dated and require extra effort to truly appreciate. That said, its $22.5 price tag is more than reasonable, making it an appealing option nonetheless.

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is living proof that games are indeed an art form, with its moving, poetic story and philosophical ideas, captivating graphics and soundtrack, not to mention its gameplay that combines the best of two completely different gaming worlds. If this is the fruit of a bored Ubisoft developer, then let them be bored day and night!

7 / 10.0 - MotoGP 25
May 12, 2025

Although MotoGP 2025 brings plenty of improvements over previous entries, it also comes with several frustrating drawbacks—most notably the inconsistent quality across different aspects of the game and its reliance on traditional gameplay modes. Even so, MotoGP 25 remains an enjoyable experience for motorcycle racing fans, especially given how few titles of this kind exist. The game offers a robust package filled with realistic simulation, a wide variety of bikes, and authentic gear from renowned brands.
