Tamarak Trail presents an intriguing proposal by incorporating dice as a central piece of its combat mechanics. However, the title is hampered by the superficiality of its roguelike elements, resulting in a monotonous journey lacking a palpable sense of progress. Therefore, despite its potential, it is not recommended for those who have not yet explored all the good options available within the genre.

However, it is important to note that the title may require some patience from the player due to performance issues on the Switch. For this reason, it may be more advisable to try this great game on another platform where it is available.

Anglerfish offers a curious premise, enriched by metalanguage elements in its narrative. Although the interesting mechanic of changing the path caused by death can occasionally lead to some monotonous runs due to the lack of significant variations, it is a game that is worth checking out.

Yohane the Parhelion -Numazu in the Mirage- is that usual beautiful, happy and lighthearted game, ideal to finish in few runs. Though its battle system is quite simple, there's enough fun in its content to keep it a plesant adventure for most of its duration.

Pentiment is an extraordinary narrative adventure that puts us in the role of two complex protagonists in a context filled with believable characters. It's impossible to go through this journey and not empathize with at least some individuals, making each choice have weight not only for those fictional people but to the player themself. In sum, it's a marvelous experience that will never leave my mind.

Astlibra Revision and its DLC Astlibra Gaiden: The Cave of Phantom Mist offer captivating and distinct experiences to fans of action RPGs. While the main game gives us an intriguing plot and rich combat system, the DLC has an approach more focused on the battles, introducing roguelike elements that make the gameplay extremely addicting. Though there are a few qualms, it's a more than welcome addition to the genre.

Though it presents some excesses in fanservice and a really simple dungeon design, Dungeon Travelers: To Heart 2 in Another World is a very fun RPG, especially when it comes to combat and party customization. With a diversified cast of characters and content variety to explore in different strategies and parties, this title offers a pleasant play time.

Despite some failures, Spirit Hunter: Death Mark II stands out as a captivating horror work, offering fascinating characters (both alive and dead) in a well crafted plot. Though the gameplay can be exhaustive in some of its aspects, the sinister atmosphere and intriguing plot balances out its shortcomings.

Evil Nun: The Broken Mask doesn't try to reinvent the wheel, and didn't have to. By not taking itself so seriously, the game manages to incorporate a humorous touch, combining tension moments caused by the relentless pursuit with laughable situations thanks to the nun's cartoonesque aspect and behavior. Among recent Feardemic horror releases that I had the chance to play, this is definitely the most consistent.

Devil Inside Us: Roots of Evil is a horror game with an unusual concept, putting us in the role of a physically vulnerable individual in a situation of extreme danger and urgency. However, the creatures leave a lot to be desired when it comes to their movements, and the presence of bugs compromises the general experience, resulting in a title that, despite its potential, doesn't reach the full extent of its expectations.

DreadOut 2 draws inspiration from consolidated franchises and titles, but it ends up delivering a clumsy, tedious and monotonous experience. Unfortunately, the promising premise of exploring legends from such a different culture is undervalued in a low quality horror game. Even if we consider the average works in the genre, there are more compelling options available.

Despite the caveats, Howl is a title that presents an intriguing narrative, charming visual and compelling gameplay. Besides that, its relatively short duration makes it an almost ideal choice to play in a single sitting. Though it may not quite fit in the tactical category, as it's described, it's yet another good indie addition to the Nintendo Switch's library.

Naruto X Boruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections celebrates 15 years of the Storm series with intense combat and a vast number of characters. My Time at Sandrock smartly mixes simulation and RPG elements, creating a captivating and enticing world to explore and get to know in detail. Though the combat system isn't as pleasant as the others, it doesn't hinder the experience as a whole. Besides that, the crafting mechanic is very rich, prompting the player to enter a fun loop of exploration, gathering, creation and upgrade, which can definitely be worth hours of gameplay. Unfortunately, this ocean of content can't be properly explored on Switch due to severe performance issues, leaving us expecting future updates already promised by the developers to solve the issue.
