Shadow Labyrinth offers engaging exploration and smart level design but much of the potential is lost to clunky controls, poor hitboxes, and a subpar audiovisual presentation.

PATAPON 1+2 REPLAY is still and excellent rhythm game, that aged well. The lack of real new improvements and additions to these games disappoint a bit but for the low price you get two great games in one package and if you haven't played the original games, you should still check it out.

Donkey Kong's triumphant return to 3D delivers an incredibly fun experience. Minor technical issues are easily outweighed by the creative gameplay, the strong presentation and the perfect dose of nostalgia. This is the system seller the Switch 2 needed.

The remaster nails the technical aspects but holds your hand too much, making detective work less engaging. While real-time combat is smoother, it lacks the depth of other Megami Tensei games. In total RAIDOU Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army offers an intriguing story but ultimately falls short in gameplay potential.

This rouge-lite card builder combines pipe mania, slay the spire and a game show to an amusing mixture that doesn't quite reach the quality of the genre giants Slay the Spire and Balantro. Still, Fans of the genre should at the very least take a look at the demo.

The Switch 2 Version of Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess adds besides the mouse controls, nothing new of value but it doesn't really need to because the tower defense concept plays out very well, even a year after the release of the game. Even when the town management aspect is tedious, you should try this exceptional game out.

A solid collection that doesn't quite match the previous compilations, but its nostalgic appeal, online features, and especially the inclusion of Capcom vs. SNK 2 make it well worth the experience.

Doom: The Dark Ages sticks to its roots, offering refined gameplay rather than a reinvention like Doom (2016). The focus on strafing over constant flying through the air is a welcome shift, with difficulty settings helping maintain the series' trademark speed. While the mech sections and soundtrack fall short of previous entries, the game delivers fast-paced, satisfying action complemented by a touch more story and expansive level design.

While the gameplay is fun and engaging, the lack of polish makes Fatal Fury - City of the Wolves a subpar successor to Garou. Odd design choices - like including two real world personalities in the roster - and a single player mode that plays like a list of chores detract from the otherwise great offline and online versus experience.

Tempest Rising is definitely the heir to the vacant RTS throne left by Command & Conquer. While a bit more boldness would have been welcome, the game perfectly captures the nostalgic feeling.

Rift of the Necrodancer is a very creative take on the classic lane style rhythm game. Even though, the story mode does not provide any real benefit, the main gameplay is absolutely addicting. The Custom Song integration is also great for longtime replayability while the very(!) high difficulty ceiling will keep even the best players on their toes.

Obsidian Entertainment stays true to its strengths and delivers great story telling and dialogues. Gameplay wise Avowed is fun but not very complex as the player character can pretty much do everything and doesn't have to commit. All in all this release is a solid action RPG that is available in the game pass from Day 1.

On one hand, Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. is finally available on PC and offering one of the most intense fighting games experiences. On the other hand the Netcode doesn't seem optimized and the intentional lack of single player content leaves only competitive players as a potential playerbase. Sega missed a big opportunity here.

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is aimed primarily at fans of the films who want to embody a younger Indie again. The abyssmal enemy AI and the somewhat dull sneaking/fighting are more than offset by excellent world-building, great voice acting, and a solid story.

In "Mario & Luigi Brothership," the series makes a welcome return to form, with a harmonious blend of engaging presentation, humor, and character design that keeps players entertained. While the music and technical optimization leave something to be desired, the combat system is accessible and intuitive. However, the repitiveness makes some parts a bit tedious.

Striking Distance Studios created a "sci-fi Hades" with [Redacted] that offers fast-paced, entertaining gameplay. For a solid price under 25€, this offer is a great game for Roguelike and Twinstick Shooter fans alike.

Shadows of the Damned - Hella Remastered is only a minor graphics update, offering players a chance to revisit this cult classic without old hardware. While it shows its age, the game's strengths remain its wild scenario, unique humor, and grindhouse-style trash appeal.

Unknown 9: Awakening has promising ideas, but is let down by mediocre execution, bugs, framerate issues, and poor AI. Even the involvement of a well-known actress can’t mask the weak story and character development. While some combat can be enjoyable, it doesn’t elevate this linear adventure. Overall, Unknown 9 feels about 10 to 15 years too late to make a significant impact, despite its ambitious plans for a multimedia franchise.

The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom blends classic Zelda gameplay with innovative mechanics, allowing players creative approaches. Zeldas ability to summon Echoes adds depth and variety to exploration and problem-solving and for the first time ever steals the showlight from our hero Link. This may be the first time an isometric Zelda comes close to the classic A Link to the past.

Capcom has hit the mark with MARVEL vs. CAPCOM Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics. The package got everything for everyone. The online mode runs smoothly and fans will love the art gallery, soundtracks and the training mode. There are some small bug fixes that are relevant for hardcore players but everything else transitioned nicely into the modern age of gaming.
