Remnant II: The Dark Horizon expands the arsenal of weapons and items and explores a new story on the planet of N'erud by introducing more locomotion mechanics that often complicate navigation unnecessarily. The Warden is an interesting archetype especially for solo players and the addition of the boss rush mode exploits the replay factor of the game considerably.

The Plucky Squire is among the most enjoyable and creative titles of recent years. Although the lack of challenges and limited combat may be a bit of a hindrance, the excellent setting and the way the story is able to captivate different audiences make it a great game for the whole family. The caveat is in the technical part: although it doesn't get to the point of ruining the experience, whether running in portable mode on the Switch or in the dock, the game behaves unstable in some situations and presents questionable visuals when in 3D. After finishing the campaign, the impression I had is that the portable mode behaved better in both aspects.

Bloomtown: A Different Story combines qualities from several genres, but it does so in a very competent way. With its turn-based combat system reinforced by the demons' abilities, a story that addresses important themes in a light-hearted way, and very interesting social management, it becomes an RPG that deserves the attention of fans of the genre.

Caravan SandWitch was supposed to be a relaxing game about exploring a planet aboard a van. But instead, the repetition of scenarios and the limitations imposed by a system of collecting components required to proceed in the story hinder a considerable part of the experience.

Shogun Showdown is a turn-based strategy roguelite that will definitely require all your concentration to overcome your biggest challenges. The large number of weapons and skills, as well as a great setting inspired by Japanese culture, allow the game to hold your attention for many hours.

Elsie is an interesting homage to the classic action and platform games of the 90s. However, the lack of balance in some of its mechanics and challenges to keep the player motivated after the conclusion of the campaign make it just another roguelite in a market already full of options.

Just like Jemma's search for identity, Arranger: A Role-Puzzling Adventure managed to find a very good place among the genre titles. The way its story develops and the ability to solve more challenging puzzles mix together to create a beautiful adventure worth every challenge we face when exploring it.

Black Myth: Wukong makes use of a great literary work to create one of the best settings inspired by Chinese culture. Although there are still technical problems in the PlayStation 5 version, those who manage to overcome them will be facing a game full of combat alternatives and with great boss fights. For fans of action RPGs, Black Myth: Wukong is a must-have.

Like an experimental recipe that combines different flavors, Magical Delicacy can cause different impressions depending on the player's taste. The good management system and great art direction are positive points, but the lack of guidance to navigate the map and an initially confusing system of combining ingredients may require a few pinches of patience.

Flock is an excellent representation of the freedom of flying through an ecosystem that is both exotic and mysterious. A relaxing journey through a beautiful world that can easily be recommended for all ages.

Thank Goodness You’re Here! managed to make a typical British humor experience that's also a casual and relaxing game. It isn't only one of the best representations of comedy in videogames but also one of the most interesting games released this year.

When I stop to think that Animal Well is a product of a single person's imagination, all the positive impressions I had about the game take on even greater proportions. Animal Well applies simple concepts to create a formula that can incite the player's creativity and their ability to understand a mysterious ecosystem. A game like this doesn't come along very often and deserves to be revered whenever possible.

Deathbound offers some interesting ideas for soulslikes. However, design and technical issues prevent it from reaching a more prominent place in a genre where these concepts are key to determining what is really good.

Closer the Distance is a good narrative game that simulates themes of our daily lives through a heavy emotional component, as well as a somewhat confusing character management system that can result in the loss of important moments in the story.

Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn ends up getting lost in its concepts. The more agile vertical movement and combat alternatives are a positive point, but the lack of a more robust upgrade system and, mainly, bosses that reward the player make the game a confusing mix of ideas.

Overall, Dawntrail is a great expansion that features a story with ups and downs, but that sets the stage well for what could become the new saga of Final Fantasy XIV.

Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree is the biggest and most ambitious expansion ever developed by FromSoftware. However, it could have been flawless if it weren't for the over-the-top recycling of enemies. Even so, the challenging boss fights and the great sense of exploration with the addition of new layouts on the maps make Shadow of the Erdtree an excellent conclusion to the Elden Ring journey.

Saviorless is one of those games where the simplicity of the gameplay and the quality of the art direction work together to create something unique. Even though the campaign is short, walking through the steps of the characters and unraveling the mysteries of the narrative make it worth the time.

Ruff Ghanor is a good digital representation of the character's universe and a game that has engaging mechanics, despite being challenging to the point of seeming unfair in some situations.
