Critic Reviews for Zenith: The Last City

However, as it stands today, PSVR2 has breathed new life into Zenith’s servers with a salvo of fresh faces willing to give the game a shot. The level 40 veterans we’ve come across have all been happy to help newcomers with advice, and there’s the promise of more content to come without any subscription fee to speak of. We can hope that future support will turn Zenith into something more thrilling or fix its crashes which we encountered several times. But right now, even after a year of steady support, Zenith: The Last City is an unexceptional affair.

Zenith: The Last City surprised me. Not because I didn't expect it to be as good as it is, but because it exceeded my expectations in almost every way. The scale of the world, response of controls, and the overall systems put in place for the MMO experience never ceased to amaze me. Zenith may have shortcomings in a smaller player base or empty parts of the map, but most of what you see and do will be a top-tier MMO VR experience.

Zenith: The Last City, by RamenVR, has been a hard game to rate. It is an excellent VR experience that shows what the future of a fully realized VR MMORPG could look like, and Zenith could be that MMORPG with time. The game can be a grind, especially when soloing. But the combat, group activities, and box price all are on target. Features like climbing and gliding make for a uniquely VR experience. But lack of content and the existing bugs are currently holding it back from being a must-own VR title.
