Train Sim World 3 Reviews
The most approachable and the most realistic train simulator ever made, and it does a good job of making that more appealing than it sounds to non-fans.
Train Sim World 3 is the most immersive railway simulation from Dovetail to date. For the first time since the series debuted, the game really sells the illusion that you're on a journey – and impressively enormous routes like Schnellfahrstrecke Kassel-Würzburg help. While the release still has obvious visual flaws, the new lighting, volumetric clouds, and dynamic weather system take the presentation to the next level – and the user interface improvements should not be underestimated either. The target audience for a title like this will never be especially large, but few other franchises find a balance between simulation, virtual tourism, and zen-like relaxation quite like this one.
While Train Sim World 3 brings some enhancements to the franchise's formula, they do little to truly amplify the experience. Yet this remains one of the strongest train sims on the market, and it still has room to grow.
A few rough edges and occasional bugs don't derail this fantastically immersive simulator. Train Sim World 3 is not only an incredibly relaxing experience, but arguably the best train simulator to-date.
Train Sim World 3 is indeed more of the same but introduces new routes and traction to a more refined and polished package. You’ll never see any other simulator title so naturally accurate. Visually things have significantly improved, and performance just feels so much better.
