Warhammer 40k Shootas: Blood & Teef is a quick and quite different "dose" of Warhammer 40k.

The number that accompanies this extract is not worth much. Because in the monstrous, mammoth and even chaotic hurricane of action that Warhammer 40,000 - Shootas, Blood & Teef proposes, there is a great dividing line marked: what a solo player will find, and what we will have if we play accompanied, local cooperative or online until for four simultaneous players. In the first case, we have a Run'n Gun that draws from a particular design in control and arrangement of the action in arenas, or areas where the cleaning of enemies prevails over the 2D advance with jumps and dangers, staying in a campaign not too well solved for the lone wolves. In the second case, the chaos and action are multiplied, as well as the importance of coordination and collaboration between players, although this tidal wave of action on the screen is not always comfortable to place four main characters. But without a doubt, being that last facet that the game is really focused on. If you are interested in this game, and there are plenty of incentives for it, consider the way you will play Shootas, Blood & Teef, because the change of experience and the fun are totally opposite on both fronts.

Aside from the art there isn’t much to love here, SBT can be one of those games that players can use when they want to turn their brain off and just move and shoot. But beyond that it’s just another day in the release of a Warhammer game; if you listen to the podcast, we make the joke about how they come every other week and only 1 is ever any good. Even for the price of $19.99 this game feels overpriced, there just simply isn’t enough game here even with the ability to play 4-player co-op. With the sluggish controls and aiming, and no real change in gameplay other than scenery this one may not please The God Emperor of Mankind.

Warhammer 40,000: Shootas, Blood & Teef looks good at a glance. The graphic style is one to love and the humor is on par. The game only suffers from framedrops and crashes, that force you to play entire parts all over again. Besides that, the game offers a brainless gameplay for up to four players. you can play online or offline as you wish, unlock new weapons and wreck utter chaos with them. Still, for 20 euros a game with hard crashes feels a bit too expensive.

Shootas, Blood and Teef is an unexpected delight at times. It’s not perfect, has some performance problems on Switch and is over in pretty short order, but there’s few better entry points into the Warhammer 40,000 world, and certainly not many that bring a smile to your face. The Orks are great and prove it in heavy rock-and-roller fashion.
