A deep and incredible RPG, with great music and artistic ties to both the novel Utopia by Thomas More, and the incredible art of Hieronymus Bosch. Fans of Persona and SMT will find a lot of similarities, and the Archetypes system is deeply satisfying.
Metaphor is hamstringed by a lack
The last few years have been weak for me as a Final Fantasy fan but Metaphor truly captures the spirit.
The romance is non-existent so I dinged it half a star but the relationship between Eupha and Will is so adorable I hope it gets expanded on.
Archetypes act as a job
Gameplay: AWESOME.
Graphic: GREAT.
Story: GREAT.
Music/Sound: AWESOME.
Dialogue/Voice Acting: AWESOME.
A far better option than any Persona and a great new effort. However, playing this after FF7 Rebirth really makes the game feel weak in many aspects: Very fragmented worlds, time limits, a tottaly uninteresting main character, lower scale and scope, repetitive social interaction, dated visuals.
On the great side:
Atlus makes a masterpiece with all the knowledge gained from making the Persona series.
Game of the year for me! Beautiful game in many ways from the visuals to gameplay loop, music, voice acting and story. Definitely got the best aspects from the other Atlus games. Highly recommended for turn-based RPG fans.
Its perfect pacing, lots of fun and enjoyable combat make this the perfect experience for the cold months ahead.
Probably one the best turn base JRPG that ever released.
Gameplay is the next evolution and better of the Persona series.
The game suffers a bit from its technic but the art directopn makes up for it.
