Not exactly a huge step down but just a game that is not evolving. Sniper Elite 5 was the first game in the series I played so maybe that has always been the case. This is just pure recycled gameplay, locales, and stories. The 4th mission is the same level

The servers are so trash that the game is unplayable. Do not waste your time here.

This is my first Sniper Elite game I've played through, and it was just fine. Outside of the environmental graphics and the shooting mechanics, there's not much that really stands out with this game from better franchises (Hitman, Dishonored, etc).
