Critic Reviews for The Sims 4: Lovestruck
While I would argue that Lovestruck is guilty of some missed opportunities, it is an expansion that both deepens and freshens up romance-based gameplay and I did find plenty of enjoyment playing out my Sims' romantic (mis)adventures. It's a cohesive (and pretty saucy by the game's standards) expansion that doesn't quite nail all of its ideas.
The Sims 4: Lovestruck has definitely lived up to its name. It brings dynamic romantic relationships, deeper sim personalities and more sophisticated dating to the game. The world is beautiful, colourful and breathing its Mexican atmosphere, plus the name literally means City of Love. Unfortunately, however, it's really narrowly focused and all the features are relatively easy and quick to explore, so it should definitely belong in the lower price range of a game pack and not as a big expansion.
