Silent Hill f takes risks, but that's a good thing. It leaves America behind to move the setting to the distant past and Japan. The result is a thoroughly authentic Japanese horror game. A horror whose themes may be more challenging for some players. And a horror that draws on Japanese myths, symbolism, and culture. However, it's also a horror that fans of the series, in particular, shouldn't overlook. It's an excellent action-adventure game that suffers from clunky combat mechanics, but this is compensated for by the overall atmosphere and storytelling.

Dying Light: The Beast isn’t a revolution, but it’s a well-crafted, brutal ride that builds on the strengths of the series while adding its own flair. The fast parkour, visceral combat, and new Beast mode keep the gameplay fresh, while the atmospheric Castor Woods setting and impressive gore system elevate the experience. The story is simple, and the villain is underdeveloped, but the charismatic return of Kyle Crane makes up for it. Solid optimization is occasionally hindered by technical issues, such as the broken day-night cycle and minor bugs, yet the game still delivers a highly engaging and atmospheric survival adventure. In the end, The Beast has earned its place, and fans of the franchise will find exactly what they came for.

For that price, it needed more. Much more. Legendary games? Definitely. But even legends age. Super Mario Galaxy + Super Mario Galaxy 2 proves that if you want to get money out of players, a slight facelift isn't enough. Yes, these games are still fun, and it's easy to overlook the flaws that come with age. But not the price tag. In fact, if you don't mind the lower resolution, you're better off getting a Nintendo Wii and playing it there.

NHL 26 finally brings a significant improvement over previous editions, mainly thanks to smoother gameplay, smarter AI, and greatly improved goalies. The most important new feature is the revamped Be a Pro mode, which now offers an authentic career experience, from junior beginnings to competing for a spot in the NHL. On the other hand, the game still suffers from outdated graphics, poor animation variety, collision issues, and weaker off-ice presentation. Overall, it's a step in the right direction, but still not the revolution that fans would like to see.

The Ghost of Yōtei is somewhere between a fantastic sequel that iterates on and innovates a successful gameplay loop and a larger DLC that merely builds on solid foundations without any greater ambitions. A fundamental change in setting – both in terms of place and time – and a change of the main character allowed the creators to come up with fresh ideas and take risks again. However, they did not do so. Instead, they stuck to everything that the first game did well, without adding much more. The game's beautifully crafted environment and stunning audiovisuals cannot save it from its mediocre story and technological shortcomings, which are less forgivable on PlayStation 5 than they were five years ago on PlayStation 4. And although the main gameplay loop is still very entertaining, and there is an effort to improve it (for example, through the addition of more weapons), in the end, Ghost of Yōtei doesn't offer as much new content and gameplay mechanics as we think it should. No matter how entertaining it still is.

Fans of the original Hollow Knight, who have also completed its DLC, will have an amazing time with Silksong. Boss design is flawless, barring a few exceptions; environments and music are top-notch, basically, you’re guaranteed tens of hours of entertainment. However, the difficulty curve is a bit too steep for gamers less experienced with the genre. Couple that with intentionally infuriating design in some places, and the game can be pretty frustrating. The complete game still shows off the meticulous 7 years of work by the developers from Team Cherry.

The House of Tesla is a captivating adventure filled with clever puzzles, a fascinating story, and stunning historical details. The atmosphere and 3D models draw you into the world of Nikola Tesla. Occasional technical shortcomings and incomplete Czech localization detract from the experience, but they don’t overshadow the overall impression. For fans of history and logic puzzles, it’s definitely a game worth trying.

Lost Soul Aside had huge ambitions and plenty of time, but unfortunately, not enough talent. Many of the ideas seem forced and unnecessary, the game doesn't know when to stop, and the story is extremely uninteresting. The entertaining combat system simply can't save it.

Shadow Labyrinth is a great combination of two genres, but still just an average Metroidvania. It's not a bad game per se, and if you enjoy a good challenge, you'll likely enjoy it, but it won't offer any life-changing experiences either.

Gears of War: Reloaded isn’t the triumphant comeback fans might have hoped for, but rather a sobering reminder that what worked twenty years ago doesn’t quite cut it today. Instead of settling for a visual touch-up, Microsoft could have invested in a complete remake, one worthy of the series’ twentieth anniversary and capable of winning over even PlayStation audiences. What we get instead is a slightly polished relic: a pleasant dose of nostalgia for Game Pass subscribers, but hardly a compelling reason for newcomers to experience the original Gears.

Kirby and the Forgotten Land – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Star-Crossed World is worth buying for anyone who hasn't had the pleasure of playing the original. But if you prefer something new rather than just recycled content, you can skip this DLC. The original title is still great to play on the first Switch, and the extra 30 frames per second are nice, but not necessary.

Destiny 2: The Edge of Fate is meant to be the beginning of a new era for the series. In reality, however, you find yourself in a small location with new abilities that aim to refresh the familiar gameplay, but instead of moving the content forward, they more often than not just end up frustratingly slowing down the pace of the game. The constant solving of puzzles associated with them quickly becomes tedious. Overall, it's not the worst DLC Destiny 2 has ever received, but it has too many shortcomings that keep it from being a must-have.

Drag X Drive is another game that exudes classic "Nintendo vibes." This means that the title offers an entirely different type of gameplay than you are used to, thanks to the Joy-Cons, which represent the movement of the right and left hands controlling a wheelchair in the sport of wheelchair basketball. Although the title doesn't offer much content, which isn't compensated for by the otherwise entertaining training challenges, and the Joy-Con registration isn't always perfect, the game can make you really want to learn all the tricks that the otherwise rich movement system offers.

The fact that Mafia: The Old Country does little more than what it promises is not a bad thing. It is a linear action-adventure game, where the story takes precedence. And although its romantic premise may not appeal to everyone, it is told in an interesting and quality manner. But in 2025, especially after the previous installments, one would expect more than just a "minimal viable product." The entire game is unnecessarily linear; the missions are often uninteresting, the gameplay is at times shockingly uninspired, and more often than we would like, we felt that the developers were making fools of the players. Mafia: The Old Country is, at its core, an entertaining average game with some production quality that elevates its quality, but it remains average nonetheless.

The Enchanted by Nature expansion introduces a fairy-tale world, new supernatural creatures, and game mechanics that encourage coexistence with nature. However, these are gameplay elements that we already have in the game in a certain way. Although fairies are once again a well-designed occult type of Sim and are the driving force behind the entire expansion, it's not enough to make it a significant expansion, and Enchanted by Nature should therefore be more of a game pack.

Wuchang: Fallen Feathers is a well-made souls-like game that relies on familiar principles, but does them with honesty and emotion. It offers a beautiful world, fast-paced combat, great bosses, and a sophisticated magic system. Unfortunately, it's brought down by technical details, such as chaotic camera work and occasionally rather unfair traps, where the developers confuse what 'hard' and 'unjust' mean. Wuchang isn't the most original souls-like game on the market, but it does everything well enough to be worth fans' attention.

Super Mario Party Jamboree for Nintendo Switch 2 is a fitting addition that's definitely not a must-have, but fans of the popular plumber will be pleased. The title effectively utilizes the Joy-Con function as a mouse in over 10 new minigames, and we also appreciated the new fast-paced "Frenzy" mode for Mario Party.

Donkey Kong Bananza is a great adventure game that will literally be a gold mine for children. The title offers one of the most advanced destruction models in gaming, capable of entertaining for dozens of hours. For Donkey Kong's fists can solve almost any gameplay "challenge" Bananza throws at you. And it can become repetitive despite the otherwise beautiful presentation of the entire title.

Uma Musume offers a surprisingly solid and exciting simulator of horse races, if instead of animals it featured anime girls with horse ears. Clever use of its systems lets you beat the career mode even without paying. However, if you want to pull the best horse girl, she may cost you more than an actual living horse.

FBC: Firebreak is the title of many “firsts” for Finnish studio Remedy. And it is primarily their first game that is hard to recommend to almost anyone. The passable gunplay, overall technical reliability, nice graphics, and the world of Control are outweighed by a drastic lack of content, the absence of generated elements in missions (meaning it becomes repetitive quickly), the shallowness of game mechanics, and the incomprehensibly limited communication options. As an experiment, this is fine. As a commercial title, it’s a misstep.
