My front runner for game of the year. The story was amazing, and the gameplay was a ton of fun! The turn-based combat combined with some skill based dodging felt really well done. It loses a half star just for some rough edges, but overall an awesome game.
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 will hopefully be a huge wake up call for the entire gaming industry. This game displays perfectly, that you don’t need hundreds of millions of dollars and an army of developers to create meaningful games that provide entertainment, bombastic music, a captivating narrative and intriguing gameplay.
Incredible callback to the peaks of Final Fantasy while still being completely its own piece of art. Us turn-based fans have DREAMED of this day, and I am so grateful that Sandfall was able to come together and bring this dream to life.

There's a small balance issue in progressing the story vs side content becoming available, but this game legitimately blew me away in every aspect.
