Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is proof that games can be simultaneously cruel and comforting, weightlessly beautiful and profoundly sad, if they truly want to touch you. It's a flickering light in a pitch-black gallery: Once you've seen it, you'll see the darkness with different eyes. Sandfall paints the proof that
One of the best games i've ever played. 10/10 story, gameplay, soundtrack, map, dub.
One of the best games I’ve ever experienced. The atmosphere, the music, the story, the characters, it all just comes together to create a masterpiece.
Stunning turn-based combat system (best in the genre) paired with a deep picto system and a melancholic world which paints the perfect atmosphere, pun not intended.
Didnt even want to play this. Hated turn based games. But the story, graphics, characters and music makes it a 10/10 i even forgot i was playing turn based game
Phenomenal art design and a compelling narrative weighed down by some extremely small parry/dodge windows combined with some difficult to read animations and one hit kills, which led to numerous frustrating moments. If you can stomach the challenge, absolutely worth playing.
Breathtaking artistic style, gorgeous music and engaging combat.
I feel like most people here either don't do this game's justice. It's either a 1/5 or a 5/5 stars, and this game is neither.
I want to preface this review and give Sandfall Interactive a huge praise for such an achievement with such a small team and reasonably low
A good music and story but boring to play.. a very hyped game for no reason in particular. A good game of the genre JRPG but easy to forget.
This is a really great game, but I'm just not into turn based games. I wasn't able to get sucked in like everyone else. But I can see why people love this game. I'd say it's worth your time and money, and if you're like me who was unsure. Try
I have 100% completed this game on PC via Game Pass and am now working my through on PS5 in order to get the platinum (this game had to be in my plat collection). It is that good. Gameplay? Amazing. Story? Incredible. Graphics? Gorgeous. This game is not just game
Compelling storyline and characters that puts it within the very best of video game storytelling.
Combine that with engaging mechanics and you get an easy game-of-the-year title.
I haven't felt this attached to characters, story and world for a video game, possibly ever (maybe undertale?). This is a truly remarkable piece of art and a really fun game to boot.
