Pragmata
Genuinely loved my time with this game. Found some of the precision platform challenges frustrating and some narrative shortcomings, but these were mild blemishes on an overall great experience. One of the few games I wanted to play more after the credits rolled. My favorite gaming experience of the year

Resident Evil Requiem
Enjoyed it, but as someone who’s played and completed most of the Resident Evil games, this felt extremely familiar and even bordering on nostalgia bait at times. I didn’t feel very connected to Grace as a character and was overall surprised at the level of critic praise given the iterative

Mario Kart World
I’m liking the game, but it feels like a very safe sequel, which present more of the same enjoyable refined formula. The new features such as the open world feel underwhelming. I’d recommend it, but consider a sale of discount. $80 is a lot considering the iterative nature of the

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33
Phenomenal art design and a compelling narrative weighed down by some extremely small parry/dodge windows combined with some difficult to read animations and one hit kills, which led to numerous frustrating moments. If you can stomach the challenge, absolutely worth playing.

Saros
Really wanted to enjoy this. When the game developer said they wanted to make a more accessible version of Returnal with a better story and more characters in a cosmic horror setting, I was sold. Day one purchase. No questions asked.

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle
Great first impression, but totally overstayed its welcome.
The game structure is 3 large open areas, which I don’t want to spoil with a handful of smaller levels serving as a bridge for the location.
In the first area, I was blown away by the presentation, fun simple melee combat with some

Doom: The Dark Ages
While I still enjoyed the game, it’s my least favorite game since the reboot in 2016. If you choose to pursue the collectibles, which are required for upgrading weapons, the pacing of the action is slowed to the point of boredom. While I enjoyed the parry mechanics more than I

Carmageddon: Rogue Shift
I played the older Carmageddon games growing up. Unlike some of the other older fans, I was happy to have another studio revive what I thought was a dead series even if it strayed far from its roots.
First off, be aware this roguelite reboot of the series. You must finish

FBC: Firebreak
It’s fun…after you level up your character/kit, you teach yourself the poorly introduced game mechanics, the currently dysfunctional matchmaking system pairs you with players of a similar skill level who also understand the game mechanics, you unlock clearance level 3 with corrupted items for all 5 levels.
During the majority
