Online ruined, amazing game but nintendo makes it almost impossible to enjoy
Beautiful and great new mario kart. Lack of game modes take it down a notch
Masterpiece. It’s simply the best Mario Kart, that’s really all there is to it. It’s better than 8 for a few reasons…Graphics are an incremental improvement. Also, despite what Reddit says, having large stretches on tracks from the open-world where you no longer need to constantly power slide (like you
Good tracks. Solid gameplay. Huge flaws.
Item bagging spam, intermissions, and an incredibly tedious/empty open world.
I wouldn't pay more than $40-60. Deducting a whole star for ~$90(inc tax) MSRP
EDIT: After Nintendo has decided to spit in the face of their loyal early adopters, I've lowered the score from 2.5/5 to
You have to drive intermission tracks in online. Just give us a way to play 3 laps.
Being the first new entry in the Mario Kart series since Mario Kart 8 (I’m not counting Tour sorry mobile gamers), the open world connectivity of the tracks of World promised an revolution of the Mario Kart formula, rather than an evolution. What we get, while a fun new entry
I’m liking the game, but it feels like a very safe sequel, which present more of the same enjoyable refined formula. The new features such as the open world feel underwhelming. I’d recommend it, but consider a sale of discount. $80 is a lot considering the iterative nature of the
Some great improvements over MK8. The open world and knockout mode being a highlight. Sadly it's all let down by the AI/balance choices that push the fun chaos Mario Kart is known for into pure frustration that ruins the fun.
Very fun for all family enjoyment, me and friends played together and ended up playing till 10
15th something boring uninspired Rehash with same items and courses! Also rips Forza Horizon off!
A great addition to the MarioKart franchise. I love the open world feel, and I can see a lot of room for growth in this title.
A great Mario kart game held back by the fact that it doesn’t have quite as many tracks as MK8D.
It's just great fun. I look forward to seeing where Nintendo takes it over the coming years.
Incredibly fun, the 24 person races are chaotic to the max. Its much more fun than competitively balanced for sure. It looks and runs pristinely for the amount of action and effects on the screen. I only have a few issues on some of the designs; the free roam didn't
Mario Kart World is not just a stepping stone to the franchise. It's also a iconic launch title that marks the start of a new chapter.
GP Mode is as good as ever. KO Mode with 24 people is insane fun, did not expect that. Don´t care about the open world part.
This is an incredibly fun and exciting game that delivers on competitive thrills. The huge roster of vehicles and characters is a definite highlight, even if I do find myself missing Tanooki Mario from the lineup. The Knockout mode is insanely fun and truly gets the competitive juices flowing, providing
It's baffling to see a game like Mario Kart lead a system launch, and while I'm not the biggest Mario Kart fan, I do enjoy them. They are fantastic to look at, with great controls, characters, and charm that very few other kart racing games have been able to copy.
