007 First Light tells a my favourtie Bond story of all time. Taking inspiration from all Bond generations, with writing that displays genuine appreciation and respect for the franchise, while taking freedoms to give the story many novel elements to make it perfect in the world of videogames.
The gameplay feels
007 First Light is, above all, a James Bond film turned into a video game. It does not try to reinvent anything or revolutionize the genre, and in fact it borrows recognizable ideas from other action, stealth, and cinematic adventure titles. However, it combines them with such rhythm and precision
9/10, absolute banger! 007 First Light, simply amazing! From the first mission to the very last, the story was superb. Took a little under 20 hours to complete and a couple more hours for the rest of the achievements. My only criticism is: the game was too short! If
great 007 game over all but the story is kinda predictable and moves too quickly in some moments
It was everything that I expected a James Bond game to be, had a great time playing it. Loved how they portrayed JB in the game, the story, music, game mechanics all were good. Overall it was a fun game except some little annoying mechanics or controls (especially the car
I'm just not having fun:
* The Hitman-like parts of the game are too simple, too linear, and just make me want to play Hitman instead of this game
* The melee combat is deeply unfun -- the controls are clunky and frustrating
* It just feels like watching a movie with some
Very fun, ran well on Xbox Series X. Great for someone who was a bit overwhelmed by Hitman but a huge Bond fan.
An immensely fun, cinematic single player Bond game.
The cast is great and the characters ooze charm. You genuinely feel like you are playing as James Bond. I really hope that they get a chance to make a sequel and we get to see Bond mature & grow.
I really appreciate that
Take some Hitman and add a mix of Splinter Cell and Uncharted and this is what you'll get. I'm a fan of all three franchises so I was pretty sure that this would be up my alley.
While not as sandboxy in it's approach to stealth as Hitman is, this
Decent game, unfortunately lacks polish. I don't get the majority of amazing reviews. It is not deserved to this extent in my opinion.
On the good side :
Variety of environments and level design is good.
Enjoyed the story and the characters. Voice acting is convincing.
On the bad side :
Enemy's AI is quite
Now while I think this is above average only in its gameplay elements like the gunplay, stealth, and combat. This carries an elite presentation and feels very Bond like in its characters and story.
This is my first Bond game, and it’s incredible. IOI nailed the combat, stealth, gadgets, mission design, story, music, graphics, and overall gameplay variety, and I loved how many different ways there are to approach objectives. Patrick Gibson was also an awesome James Bond. My main issues were the occasional
Amazing action adventure that combined perfectly games like Hitman, Uncharted and Batman Arkham Asylum, in addition to a great story and a superb narrative.
Definitely my favorite Bond game and one of the best games this year
Personally, I enjoyed my entire time with it and don’t regret the price I paid for it. The story started out slow, but once the ball started to roll… it got more engaging, interesting and a few twists I didn’t predict. I won't say what etc. as I do not
