SkyKeepers has some snippets of fun gameplay, and a couple neat ideas, but the overall package offers up more frustration than fun alongside a general lack of polish.
SkyKeepers is going on the short list of Xbox games that are easy gamerscore but just aren't very good.
Overall SkyKeepers is a fun old-school style action platfomer that will have you playing for many hours. The game has a high level of polish and, at least in my playthrough, was free of bugs and glitches. Sure, there’s a definitive curve in place and some battles can feel a bit repetitive with combos that can leave you with sore thumbs, but the game is fun and available at a good price.
As it stands, SkyKeepers is a good action platform game that has laid a solid foundation for (hopefully) future installments.
SkyKeepers is one of those games that gets on your nerves for all the wrong reasons.
If you want a game with a solid platforming base and a lot of challenging gameplay, pick up an axe and enter the village of SkyKeeper.
