When a group gets together it is always nice to have choices that are accessible to all players. Carnage Tower is one of those games. You likely won’t see me spending dozens of hours trying to tackle the 100 floor gauntlet, nor will it be at the top of my favorite games of 2019. What it will be, however, is a game that may get attention when novice gamers and I want to get our hands on something simple and fun.
At such a low price there is absolutely no reason for fans of platformers and all things retro to not take the plunge. Achievement hunters can earn a healthy chunk of gamerscore within a few hours as well. I, for one, wouldn’t mind seeing where Elena Temple’s next adventure takes me
Is it a fun racing experience? Absolutely. Are there a bevvy of options to choose from? Yes! Maybe I set my expectations a bit too high or wished that there would be something new and exciting to set Monster Energy 2 apart. I loved how Rento Fortune didn't try to overly produce the game with pomp and circumstance. It's a basic board game that kept my interest and attention. My only concern with recommending it for a party game is that the UI might give novice gamers some trouble.
Death Road to Canada is easy to recommend to gamers who enjoy various genres. Kudos to developers Rocketcat Games and Madgarden for blending action, survival, adventure, narrative and even light RPG mechanics beautifully into a single game.
